I like the Splash Screen Widget in Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS Online to inform users about urgent problems or planned maintenance.  But since we run more than one app (and some services - like basemaps - are used in several apps) I have to set up a Splash Screen in every single App at the "maintenance day" ... and when the service works are done I have to remove the Splash Screens in every single App. It would be very useful if I just could generate one message like "today we are doing some planned service" and this is shown on every App from our organization the users access. So maybe a general Splash Screen to turn off and on in the organizations properties for administrators. ... View more

The size of opened widgets is often much to big in the mobile Layout. For our Homepage we're embedding WebApps (made with ArcGIS Online WebApp Builder ... so we have no possibility to configure anything by coding) in iframes ans switch the layout to mobile to save space.  But a lot of the widgets which wouldn't need so much space use it regardless of their content. I want to generate an URL parameter that querys a layer (that is not switched on in my WebMap) in a Web Mapping Application and turn on the queried layer. It works so far that the feature is correctly queried, but because the layer is not swiched on, the symbol for the feature is not shown. Looks like this: So I want to turn on the layer visibility so that the symbol is shown. I found that for a Web Map URL the parameter could be "layers=show:layernumber" (described here: http://doc.arcgis.com/de/arcgis-online/reference/use-url-parameters.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_39BECEFA9E1942B6AB9019C425DDD0C9 ) But this is not working for the Web Application URL.  Is there a parameter that works for the Application URL? I bulit an App in ArcGIS Online with Web AppBuilder an added the "Search Widget". For several layers in my WebMap I chose the search from feature layer. Well, it works more or less good... If I know exactly how to type a place, it will be found. It also works that suggestions are displayed. But what I absolutely not understand: if I type just one or some letters the order of the displayed suggestions and results is really weird. It's completely not alphabetical. For example: I choose the layer "Playgrounds" to search and type "An" into the search field. I get suggestions of all Playgrounds with an "an" in some space, no matter if they are the first letters oder the last or somewhere in the middle of the word. I will attach a screenshot of this example search: It would be nicer if the suggestions/results were ordered logically, like: - An der AOK - An der Helmholtzschule - etc. Is there a solution or is it a bug... or even a feature and no one's bothered about it but me? ... Hello there, I have built a Web Map using two layers as basemap: the esri world light gray base und above it my own basemap (city map, in german: "Stadtplan")  from an ArcGIS Server Service. This is working fine. Out of that I bulit a Web App with Web App Builder and added the "Basemap Gallery Widget". What I want: When starting the app, the basemap used in the web map is shown and when I open the "Basemap Gallery Widget" I want to have the choice between "Stadtplan" (city map) and "Luftbild" (arial photo).  What I did: I added the two basemaps into the widget ... "Luftbild" and Stadtplan". I did that because I wanted to add a self generated small picture for the Stadtplan-basemap and not the automatically generated that comes up, if I only add the arial-photo as basemap. The esri help website for this widget tells me "If the basemap used in the web map is not included during the configuration, it will be added automatically when the widget opens." This, the other way around, means to me: If I do add the the basemap used in the web map manually into the widget, it will NOT be added automatically. But this is what happens: When I open the widget it shows me three basemap to choose from.... the arial-photo (left), the city-map (middle) and the city-map generated out of the web map (right).  What I could do: Delete the manually generated basemap "city-map" from the widget (middle in the picture). Why don't I? Because I don't like the look of the automatically generated picture, because it does not just show the basemap, but the basemap with the content of the webmap above it.  So I want to delete the automatically out of the web map generated basemap out of the "basemap gallery widget".
