Claire, ArcGIS account is optional for the end-users to use the app that is created using AppStudio, for QuickReport for example, you can make the feature layer public. And using an external user database for login is doable, I have seen other customers log in to a variety of different login system, most of them support OAuth, so it makes it easier, you can follow the same workflow with ArcGIS Online just different endpoint and client ID that would work with that authentication method. What is the authentication workflow do you use? or is it custom? Thank you, Erwin

Jorge, The issue you are seeing during Cloud Make is because there are more than one app with the same name, we can not have that. And I can not seem to reproduce the error while downloading with OTA, perhaps this is related with the duplicate app name on the Cloud Make process. Can you please try to change the app name, re-upload, and trigger the Cloud Make again? Thank you, Erwin

Doug, The most appropriate place for AuGeo would be Esri Labs. But as far as I know, AuGeo doesn't have a plan (it could change) to support Lidar from the new iPad Pro yet. This could be a great thing to be added to the ArcGIS Ideas, so that our Product Management team is aware of this request. Thank you, Erwin.

Garrett, It depends on how much of the functionalities from MapViewer do you really need for the app. I think it is actually easier to use QuickReport as based for this app, since QuickReport has a map already, in which you can use the webmap that has the same feature layer that you use to do data collection. So the only functionality that you need to add is probably identifying features and showing the attributes in the pop-ups, and plus anything other map based related functionality that you need. QuickReport also supports mobile map packages in lieu of the webmap that would support offline workflow, if needed. Thank you for discussing this with us, it definitely helped us in knowing what our users are thinking of building from our templates, and hopefully, it can guide what new features we should be adding in our templates. We are very excited to see how this project goes, please keep us updated. Thank you, Erwin

Thank you for your kind words. We are expecting to have a public beta release for 4.3 for UC timeframe and final release after UC. This new custom pop-ups feature in MapViewer was made possible, powered by ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Qt technology that we use for MapViewer template.

Sean, My apologies, I was mistaken, you can not have AppLayout inside App. As of now, AppLayout does not have the onOpenUrl signal for url-scheme to work, it is only available on App. I think this could be a good enhancement to submit via Esri Technical Support so that it can prioritize accordingly. Thank you, Erwin

I see that makes sense. It sounds like the only option forward right now is to do a custom template app.

Karimullah, Is it possible for you to share the data (the webmap id) you are using for this? We also want to try it with the current AppStudio 4.3 Beta that is available on Early Adopter Community, https://earlyadopter.esri.com/welcome/default.html?key=AppStudio, to see if we can still see the same issue. Taylor, Most of the functionalities you mentioned are supported in ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Qt, this seems to be a valid case for a custom AppStudio app that is making use of the functionalities in ArcGIS Runtime SDK. You probably don't want to do all the calculations on the client-side (you could), it sounds like consuming the Network Analyst service is the best way forward. This is sample that show the Closest Facility functionality in ArcGIS Runtime, Find closest facility to multiple incidents (service) | ArcGIS for Developers Erwin

Dustin, It seems like you have figured out a way to do the customization you wanted to do. Ideally, all of 4 or 5 pages in QuickReport can be on one page if we put all the code in one QML file and remove the logic to go next and back on the page. So, yes, what you are doing seems valid to me. Erwin

Sean, Are you using the URL Scheme or App Links (Beta)? By having "App" as the parent of the AppStudio App, you are utilizing the functionalities in AppFramework. Can you put your "AppLayout" inside "App"? Erwin

Garrett, At this point, the only way to combine the two templates is by moving the code from one to another, when I say "move", it means editing the source code and move (part) of the source code over to another template. May I suggest using the AppStudio Player? Perhaps utilizing the new Custom Profile experience, https://community.esri.com/groups/appstudio/blog/2020/02/27/introducing-appstudio-player-custom-profile So I would imagine you would have a Map Viewer Template and a Quick Report template in the your profile, plus you can also add web applications such as Dashboards and Story Maps. Thank you, Erwin

Laurynas, Quick Report supports secured feature service. This is an example of a secured feature layer Feature Service address: https://sampleserver6.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/rest/services/Wildfire_secure/FeatureServer Layer IDs of the feature service: 0,1,2 Username: user1 Password: user1 Can you try if this works on your end? Is it possible for you to share the feature service URL and create a dummy account for us to test? If not, maybe you can try working with Esri Technical Support to troubleshoot this issue further. Thank you, Erwin
