Should be possible.  I see that you have the iOS code available to you as well.  I believe you would need to user the Timer class:  https://developer.android.com/reference/java/util/Timer.html#scheduleAtFixedRate(java.util.TimerTask, long, long) If I get a chance later today, I will try to come up with a quick sample.  We have been pretty busy over here with the new releases lately so I have not been able to produce as many samples. ...
