Hello Charles, thank you for your answer. It now works! The following confused me: when you create a new add-in, and create a new button, the images "GenericButtonBlue16" and GenericButtonBlue32" are created in the folder "Images" of the project. However, these images are not used by the Add-In, but the ones in "ArcGIS.Desktop.Resources". This is confusing. I had to reference my images the following way to make things work (not "pack://application:,,,/ArcGIS.Desktop.Resources;component/Images/Image32.png"): <!-- Note the backslash -->
<button id="module1_Button1" className="Button1" caption="Button1" largeImage="Images\Image32.png"/>

I have exactly the same problem. I set the "Build Action" for each image to "AddInContent", but the images still don't display. What am I doing wrong?

I have created an ArcGIS Pro Managed Configuration. I now want to add a WPF Window: 1. Right click on project - Add new item 2. Expand Visual C# Items - Select WPF --> only a User Control (WPF) appears, no Window (WPF), Page (WPF), and so on Do I have to use an ArcGIS Pro ProWindow instead? I'm just wondering because a WPF Window is added in the following ProGuide: ProGuide License Your Add in · Esri/arcgis-pro-sdk Wiki · GitHub

Hi Uma, thanks for your input. Your code above works fine for me when I first show the message box ("MapView has been initialized") and then access the active map (MapView.Active.Map). When I remove the message box, however, the active mapview is null. How can I get around this? Thanks, Barbara

Hello Wolfgang, this works, thank you for your reply! So the reason is that Pro will only load my add-in when it's needed, i.e. when the the code runs.

Hello Uma, thank you for your reply! I am not developing a custom tool. I run some calculations that last several seconds or minutes, and I want to show the user that she/he has to wait. With ArcObjects (using IMouseCursor), this worked perfect.

I have exactly the same problem. I created a new ArcGIS Pro AddIn using the following instructions: Build your first add-in | ArcGIS for Developers When I'm setting a breakpoint, I am receiving a warning stating "The breakpoint will not currently be hit. No symbols have been loaded for this document." Any help would be appreciated!

I would like to set the cursor to wait cursor. In ArcObjects, this works as follows: IMouseCursor mouseCursor = new MouseCursorClass(); mouseCursor.SetCursor(2); // Wait cursor When I use the wait cursor from System.Windows.Forms, it turns back to default cursor as soon as I move the mouse: Cursor.Current = Cursors.WaitCursor; Is there a good way to do this in ArcGIS Pro?

In an ArcMap Add-In, I created a Tool. In the OnMouseUp Event, I would like to find out if the right or left mouse button has been clicked: protected override void OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs arg) { } This information should probably be in the MouseEventArgs, but I haven't found out where.

Hello Prashant, have you seen the ideas I have posted for ArcGIS Pro Image Analyst? Thanks, Barbara ArcGIS Pro Image Analyst: Load stereo images (or mosaic datasets) programmatically to Stereo Map using SDK ArcGIS Pro Image Analyst: There should be a button "North Up" for stereo images ArcGIS Pro Image Analyst: Display Mode "Split Screen" ArcGIS Pro Image Analyst: Change color of Stereo Cursor ArcGIS Pro Image Analyst: it should be possible to set and get ground point with the SDK https://community.esri.com/ideas/16728

With the SDK, it should be possible to get the current position in x,y, and z of the Stereo Cursor (get ground point). It should also be possible to set the current position in x,y, and z of the Stereo Cursor (set ground point). Setting the ground point programmatically after stereo images have been loaded or project has been reopened, the user doesn't have to manually adjust the height of the Stereo Cursor, which can be very cumbersome.

At the moment, it is only possible to change the z coordinate system of the Stereo Map. It would be good if the XY coordinate system could also be changed. It is important for a stereo interpreter to know where she is on the Stereo Map. She cannot know this if the XY coordinate system is WGS84 for example and not Swiss LV95.

Hello Prashant, thank you for your reply. It is important that users will have more fine grained control over this. It should be possible to define the height interval of one notch of the mouse wheel to 0.1 meters on all images. Barbara
