I believe you can add the ArcGIS Server Feature Service to the web map, and then just use that web map for the GeoForm. At least that's how it used to work in the previous version of the GeoForm.

Jake, upon re-reading your post I realize that my answer is not really solve the real issue you are referring to. It solves the "overwrite with null" issue that you seem to have solved already with "additional UPDATE logic". Anyways, here's my code, perhaps it's useful for someone else... CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER sDE.FEATURECLASS_ID_BEF_INS BEFORE INSERT OR UPDATE ON sDE.FEATURECLASS FOR EACH ROW BEGIN IF :NEW.CREATED_DATE = :NEW.LAST_EDITED_DATE THEN SELECT FEATURECLASS_S.NEXTVAL INTO :NEW.IDFIELD FROM DUAL; END IF; IF :NEW.CREATED_DATE <> :NEW.LAST_EDITED_DATE THEN --this is an edit to an existing point. here we need to block the incoming null value for IDFIELD SELECT :OLD.IDFIELD INTO :NEW.IDFIELD FROM DUAL; END IF; END; /

Hi Jake, I had the same issue. I solved it by enabling Editor Tracking and then on-insert-and-update comparing the row's TimeCreated vs. TimeLastEdited values to determine whether the edit is a new feature or an update. Only if TimeCreated=TimeLastedited (i.e. a newly created feature) should the ID be calculated based on the sequence. I can send you my sql code tomorrow or so - remind me if I forget. Thanks, Tobias

Robert: #1 - a static, hard coded query in some place is absolutely sufficient in my case * #2 - I assume openAtStart=true makes it simpler, so yes. Either way works, though. Some more background: Currently a user needs to open this app that shows capital projects as polygon features (sorry, really early prototype). To get a list of all the capital projects the user needs to use the Identify Widget and draw a large polygon around the general area. He then gets this really nice list in the "Results" tab, with hover effects and all sorts of good stuff (thank you!). What I want to accomplish is that the nice "Results" list is there in the first place already. *I can see that the Identify Widget make a call like http://...[my server + service] ...query?f=json&where=&returnGeometry=true&spatialRel=esriSpatialRelIntersects&geometry=%7B%22rings%22%3A%5B%5B%5B-10383528.531827696%2C5615152.250596391%5D%2C%5B-10383528.531827696%2C5622318.221998118%5D%2C%5B-10369846.303764667%2C5622318.221998118%5D%2C%5B-10369846.303764667%2C5615152.250596391%5D%2C%5B-10383528.531827696%2C5615152.250596391%5D%5D%5D%2C%22spatialReference%22%3A%7B%22wkid%22%3A102100%7D%7D&geometryType=esriGeometryPolygon&inSR=102100&outFields=*&outSR=102100 . Hard coding this url in some place would work just fine for me. Thank you very much. Tobias

Hi all. I would love to be able to open a web app with a widget open AND already executed with some parameters. In my specific case this would be Robert Scheitlin, GISP 's awesome Identify Widget, so that when user opens the app he/she is presented with a map and a dashboard-like list of features (e.g. incidents, projects, etc.). Using browser debug tools I can see the query that is sent to the server with a number of parameters, but that's pretty much where my dev. skills end. How/where would I even start placing a function that makes that call after the page has fully loaded? I think this same idea can be applied to many widgets, for example charts, or elevation profile, etc. Thanks for any help/suggestions/comments!

As of March 2015 to Web App builder supports 1:M relationships in the attribute table and in the pop-up sort of, too. I would like my dev. edition to have that capability. Do you have any information on how/when to "upgrade" dev. editions of the Web App builder?

Jake, how do you find out about scheduled updates? Is there a webpage somewhere that lists concrete dates? Thanks.

Not sure if I fully understand wat you need to accomplish, but did you try this yet: ArcGIS Online Assistant . It allows you to edit the url's of webmap-layers in json format.

Hani, can you please check whether the feature service is still available after you "disconnect connections"? Likely it isn't , because it needs to be able to connect to the database in order to read or write to the feature class. And if it can't read/write to the geodatabase it can't sync any edits. Could that be causing the issue you are seeing?

Larry - I'd be interested to see how you got the html table in the pop-up to work - I'm unable to do this with web map configured pop-up windows. The link to the webmap isn't publicly accessible, and when I look at the webmap that I think you linked to I can't see a pop-up at all. (?) (Sorry for hijacking this thread. Larry's answer is the correct answer to the original question.)

Can you please confirm that the web map(s) that are referenced by this app are share publicly as well? It looks like that might be the issue. Let me know if what I'm asking doesn't make sense.
