Robert, What appears to be great is that when I imported a zipped app created in WAB Dev 1.0 into WAB Dev 1.1, the contained custom widgets (Identify, LocalLayer, StreetView, ElevationProfile) were automatically imported into the WAB Dev 1.1 base widget directory (\client\stemapp\widgets) so that they can be used to create new apps. No need to import the custom widgets manually!!! This is a very nice feature. Cheers, Barnaby

Adam and Robert, With WAB Dev 1.1, there is no \client\builder\predefined-apps directory. So how do we make the required edit to the following file as we did in WAB Dev 1.0? \client\builder\predefined-apps\default2DApp\config.json Or should we edit this file: \client\stemapp\predefined-apps\default\config.json ??? Cheers, Barnaby

See my post from March 2, 2015 in this thread Roberts Custom WAB Widgets for an Excel spreadsheet containing RegEx script commands for use in Notepad++ which quickly convert the XML config code from the Flex version widget into json code for the WAB version of the widget.

Robert, I know exactly what you mean. I didn't have to do that, I just rearranged my widgets. I think I have a good, intuitive result: ArcGIS Web Application It is using the LocalLayer, Elevation Profile, Street View, and ID widgets, without which the app would be useless. Please let me know if you have any comments or suggestions. Best regards, Barnaby

Sounds great, Robert. None of the windows of the widgets I add to header controller at upper right are resizable, which has to do with the foldable theme, I assume.

Robert, The widget works perfectly, but how do I resize the Profile widget window? I added the widget to the Header Controller of the foldable theme, and the profile window is a long, thin window along the right side, and I can't find a way to resize it. Perhaps I must add the widget not to the header controller but to the other group of widgets at upper left? Best regards, Barnaby Edit: Yes, that does it. If added to other group of widgets, the window is resizable.

Robert, ID widget 1.1.0.1 works like a dream. EXCELLENT! I developed a suite of RegEx script commands for use in Notepad++ which quickly convert the XML config code from the Flex version widget into json code for the WAB version of the widget. This saves LOTS of time when converting viewers having ID widget from Flex to WAB. Instructions: Open config_identify.json in Notepad++ Copy layer entries from Flex XML into layers section of json file Run RegEx search/replace in order shown in Excel spreadsheet (top to bottom), using "Regular expression" Search mode. Many thanks, Barnaby Edit: (I would have posted this as a comment on the ID widget document page, but it is apparently impossible to add attachments to such comments. )

Robert, Thanks for 1.1.0.1. Would you rather we post issues (if any) here, or in the Roberts Custom WAB Widgets thread? Cheers, Barnaby

I very strongly support the development of this widget. It's just what I've been looking for. But I need a Flex version, too! Ha! If we don't get this widget soon, I'll have to pay to install a helipad on our roof so that we can fly Robert in when needed.

Robert, I seem to be getting two ID results for every polygon I click on in a tiled vector layer. Can you duplicate this? There should only be one result per polygon. Layer: Generalized lithology (ID: 1) { "name": "Generalized lithology", "url": "http://MyServer/arcgis/rest/services/usminmap/SGMC_March2014_Geology/MapServer", "id": 1, "zoomscale": "", "forcescale": false, "fields": { "all": false, "field": [ { "name": "State", "alias": "State" }, { "name": "Orig_Label", "alias": "Original label" }, { "name": "Unit_Name", "alias": "Unit name" }, { "name": "Generalized_Lithology", "alias": "Generalized lithology" }, { "name": "Age_Min", "alias": "Minimum age" }, { "name": "Age_Max", "alias": "Maximum age" }, { "name": "Major1", "alias": "Major1" }, { "name": "Major2", "alias": "Major2" }, { "name": "Major3", "alias": "Major3" }, { "name": "Minor1", "alias": "Minor1" }, { "name": "Minor2", "alias": "Minor2" }, { "name": "Minor3", "alias": "Minor3" }, { "name": "Minor4", "alias": "Minor4" }, { "name": "Minor5", "alias": "Minor5" }, { "name": "Indeterminate", "alias": "Indeterminate" }, { "name": "Reference", "alias": "Reference" } ] }, "links": {} } Edit: note that I also have a popup configured for that tiled layer. Don't know if that matters, but... Cheers, Barnaby
