Robert, Looking good with edited config_Identify.json: { "name": "Landsat 8 - AA13 - 2014 Calibration - Mosaic 9", "url": "http://MyServer/arcgis/rest/services/usminmap/Landsat8/MapServer", "id": 2, "zoomscale": "", "forcescale": false, "fields": { "all": false, "field": [ { "name": "Value", "alias": "Pixel value" }, { "name": "MaterialID", "alias": "Material ID" } ] }, "links": {} }, However, the "name" field in red above is not holding through to ID results, which only show the REST layer name. Cheers, Barnaby

Hi Robert, Congrats on release of v1.1 of Identify widget!!! I cannot get some attributes from a thematic raster layer to display in ID results. Layer: 3/27/13 - reduced vegetation suppression - AA11 (ID: 2) In ID widget GUI, the only attribute that shows up from the above layer is Pixel Value, but I need both Pixel Value and MaterialID attributes to show. Any ideas? Edit: However, if I add Layer 0 (topmost layer in REST) to the widget, I do get ID results for all attributes, which is a great start! Now all I need is to be able to select which attributes to display for each layer. Best regards, Barnaby

Alex, You can also add "width" and "height" params to adjust the size of the widget in your app. Here is some xml: <widget url="widgets/eLayerList/eLayerListWidget.swf"
config="widgets/eLayerList/eLayerListWidget_1.xml"
label="Table of Contents and Explanation" icon="assets/images/Legend32.png" preload="open"
width="600" height="405" x="100" y="90"
/> A bummer with these custom settings is that you have to re-add them to the config.xml every time you save the app from Flex App Builder. I wish these widget settings could be edited (and saved) directly from the App Builder. Cheers, Barnaby

Robert, The AGO Imagery Web Map contains a bookmark named "Basemap Extent" that shows up in the bookmark widget. That bookmark takes one to Kansas City. The bookmark cannot be deleted. It can be edited, but if its name is changed to anything other than "Basemap Extent" then a new bookmark having that name is created. Quite odd. The French Imagery Web Map has no such annoying bookmark. I have no idea why the standard AGOL ESRI World Imagery is not available in the list of public AGOL Web Maps available to WAB, which is quite annoying. Here is info on that basemap: http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=42c9abbc95a7472eb17fc71ab16ae830 This map features satellite imagery for the world and high-resolution aerial imagery for many areas. The basemap’s extent is set to AIMS' service area. Having such random, user-generated basemaps come up when one selects public ArcGIS.com maps in the WAB "Choose Web Map" GUI is ok, but the standard ESRI basemaps should be listed first, as most users will want to select from those. AFAIK, all this has nothing to do with the LL widget. Cheers, Barnaby

Turns out AGO Imagery basemap adds a pesky bookmark to Kansas City that I can't get rid of no matter what I do. If I remove it, it just comes back. Very frustrating. I'll search for another simple Imagery basemap. Why the heck isn't the normal AGOL World Imagery (without labels or metadata) basemap available as a WAB Web Map? There's AGOL - Imagerie Mondiale, from ESRI France, which works but....

I never saw it either until I configured Attribute widget (selecting layer attributes to show), and then changed my Web Map. I think it is a standard WAB dialog.

Using widget 1.3, I am consistently getting a WAB Dev hang when I attempt to change the Web Map of my app. I have configured the attribute and LL widgets (among others). When I attempt to change Web Map in an editing session, I get a WAB message that the attribute widget may not be valid after the Map switch. When I click Ok, WAB Dev hangs with a Loading... message. The hang will never cease. But I can end the editing session normally be going back to the primary Web Appbuilder screen showing my apps. There is no crash, and no messages in the WAB cmd window. Is anyone else experiencing this? I am now seeing the same behavior when editing an app created with LL widget 1.2. If I create a new map and do not configure the Attribute widget, I can swap Web Maps with no hang. After switching the Web Map, I can save the app even as the hang occurs. The new Web Map has been saved, and the app can be edited and cleaned up later. The problem seemed to start when I edited the \client\stemapp\jimu.js\LayerInfos\LayerInfoForMapService.js file with the change needed to make the attribute widget work properly (var url = this.originOperLayer.layerObject.url + '/layers';).

Thanks, Rebecca. What you described is very straightforward, but I don't understand some of the more complicated details which you did not describe. I will use the "Imagery with Labels" AGOL basemap as an example. I tried using this as the base Web Map in my local WAB app (chosen through "Map" tab you mentioned). This basemap contains an additional "World Transportation" layer that shows up at the bottom of my local WAB app layer list, and this is the layer I would like to remove using your method. I would have used the "Imagery" AGOL basemap, but the damn thing isn't in the list of public AGOL Web Maps to add via the WAB "Choose Map" selector: In an AGOL Web Map, if I choose Imagery with Labels as a basemap, I cannot see a way to remove or edit it. I don't even see any mention of the World Transportation layer in the Content view. Should I add the Imagery with Labels basemap as a layer instead of as a basemap, and then remove the transpo layer? If so, how do I remove the underlying basemap? There appears to be no way to NOT have a basemap in a Web Map.

Rebecca, I think your method of making a new, customized basemap from AGOL basemaps for use in WAB apps may be quite useful to others. Could you clarify in a few steps how you did that? Did you log in to your group AGOL, created new Web Map, added AGOL basemap, customized it, and saved the Web Map? Then you used that Web Map in your local WAB app made using WAB Dev edition?
