I don't think that has any effect: Robert, note that I have the "Disable Link in PopUp" box also checked, and that is working.

Hi Robert, Unless I'm doing something wrong, the "Disable Link if Null" feature in the Update Link dialog isn't working. Links with <Null> in field still show up in ID widget results. This feature works perfectly in Flex version. Best regards, Barnaby

Adam, Congrats on the release! You may want to update the manifest.json to include the 1.2.1 version number. The Bold type for group layers in the config GUI is awesome, and greatly simplifies widget reconfiguration! Cheers, Barnaby

^ ^ This is my impression as well. For the most part, I am very happy with the ESRI World Imagery basemap.

Adam, Yes, things are looking up compared to previous beta. See my previous edited post: Re: LocalLayerWidget and AccessifizrWidget But the sluggishmess when editing a layer in LL widget GUI is problematic, and I highly doubt it is related to my badass mapserver. -Barnaby EDIT: Adam, please check the Regional Studies layer in the config I sent you. ALL sublayers in that layer (service) should be off by default, yet they are turned on by default using new widget version. Sub-sublayers will be either on or off by default. There are hundreds of sub-sub-layers in the service. If you can fix the issue with all sublayers being on by default (not honoring visibility as set in mxd), then I think other issues, and perhaps even the hang, will go away. EDIT 2: Trying to edit the Regional Studies layer is extremely difficult due to the hang, which can take more than 5 minutes until it returns control. I have noticed that all "group layers" in a service are turned on by default, not just the sublayers. Visibility for layers under a group layer are maintained from mxd, but ALL group layers are now turned on, necessitating extensive editing in the LL widget GUI.

Adam, I get the hang when I try to edit layer config and then save, without changing anything, for all layers. BUT, the hang now eventually stops, sometimes after a few minutes, and then I can save the app. The hang is longer for layers with more sublayers. Once I enter and then exit a layer editing session, again not changing anything, and wait for the hang to stop, then the sublayer visibility as set in mxd is returned, and all is good. Cheers, Barnaby

Adam, I'll try it out soon. Sounds like a nice fix. Cheers, Barnaby Edit: Adam, I've loaded LL widget 1.2.1b, and it is a big improvement over last beta version. The app will now load normally without having to edit the LL widget, and initial layer visibilities as set in v1.2 config file are maintained. Some issues: 1) all, or at least most, sublayers appear to be on by default. Visibility settings for sublayers as set in mxd prior to publishing are not honored. 2) I still got the WAB Dev hang when I tried to edit settings for a layer in the LL widget GUI. But I'm still testing.... I just sent you the config file for another app.

It is my general opinion that the new widget version should work seamlessly with a config file from 1.2 with no need to edit layers and visibility. That will save most users much time and headache. I can give you my 1.2 config file if it would help you. Remember all layer pop-up configurations are saved in the LL widget config file, and these are a real pain to remake, another reason why the existing LL config from 1.2 must work with the new widget version.

One thing is that 1.2.1 shows the layers in correct order from top to bottom, whereas 1.2 showed them in reverse order (top-most layers in viewer are shown at bottom). I appears that for dynamic layers with complex layer visibility settings as set in mxd, and a pre-existing LL widget config file, one must edit the layer visibility for every sub layer for the layer to show in the viewer, which can take a very long time. I have one layer that is on by default and overlies a layer which is off by default. When I try and configure the underlying "off" layer, I get the hang/crash. Edit: the hang/crash seems to occur when I enter/exit a layer in the LL widget GUI when that layer is off by default and is not the top-most layer.

Adam, Thus far, using my existing LL widget config file (quite complex), it has locked up and crashed my WAB Dev editing session three times after entering the widget setup and simply entering and exiting a layer, and clicking OK. No changes made to visibility. I will keep testing....

Grouplayer visibility toggling allowed. (Re-configuration of your layer will likely be required) Great, Adam. I'm looking forward to trying it out. I'm wondering about what the "re-configuration" will entail.

Robert, What AGOL item are the clientID/Secret for in your proxy.config? The WAB app on your local server (I assumed that the client ID credentials are for that item, based on item #3 in your "correct" post above)? -Barnaby
