Hi Adam, I sent you my app. All appears good except that one massive dynamic layer doesn't show up in Layer List. Cheers, Barnaby ---- Edit: Adam, let me know if you haven't received my message. I received a message indicating that the first message was unsent for some reason. I resent it just in case.

Hi, Is a WAB Dev 1.3-compatible version of LL widget in the works? 1.2.2 is DOA with WAB Dev 1.3 for me due to issues mentioned above. Let me know if you want a more detailed description of the problems, and REST links to the services that are unstable in the Layer List of the app. Cheers, Barnaby

I just encountered a problem, apparently with LL 1.2.2 widget, in an app developed in WAB Dev 1.2 and imported into 1.3. A massive dynamic layer with hundreds of sub- and sub-sub layers isn't visible in the Layer List even though it is visible in the LL widget editing GUI. But when the app is downloaded and installed, the massive layer does (sometimes) appear in the Layer List. After more testing, the downloaded app is quite unstable with regard to that big dynamic layer... Edit (1/5/16): The same problem occurs with another layer. Both of the problematic dynamic layers contain mainly thematic rasters and happen to be in png24 image format. I don't know if that matters, but...

I would think that an upgrade is needed. For one thing, using WAB Dev 1.3, no layers appear in Attribute Table widget editing GUI when LL widget 1.2.2 is used with an app imported from 1.2. However, the layers do appear in the Attribute Table widget itself, which appears to work properly so far. But overall, the imported app, which uses 5 of Robert's 1.3 version widgets + LL widget 1.2.2, appears to work properly in all regards in WAB Dev 1.3. So far, anyway.

Robert, Ah ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like the perfect thing. I'll try it out. Many thanks, Barnaby Edit, by "symlink" I was referring to symbolic links such as those created with mklink.

Robert, Thanks for the info. How are you thinking of establishing a virtual directory? I was wondering about making a symlink in wwwroot of my server which would direct users to a shared directory on another server. So far, that hasn't worked, but I've only tried making soft and hard (dir junction) symlinks for a few minutes. Cheers, Barnaby

Hi Robert, Perhaps you can help me with this issue. I have been attempting to get links to Windows folder locations in the form of \\myserver\dir1\dir2\ to work via LocalLayer widget + either pop-ups and/or ID widget. I have a vector polygon layer with link fields in the attributes, and I cannot get links to folder locations to work reliably via either pop-ups or ID widget. Do you know if such functionality is possible from a WAB viewer? The links will work properly from IE11, which can readily interpret Windows folder addresses, but not from Chrome or Firefox. Best regards, Barnaby

Adam, I am still getting severe WAB Dev hangs when adding new layers using the widget. The hangs eventually stop, returning control to user, but this can take over 5 minutes of CPU thrashing for apps with lots of layers. Cheers, Barnaby

Robert, Ok, then it appears something is wrong on my end. I'll look into it. Thanks! Cheers, Barnaby Edit: Perhaps the issue has something to do with the fields in the published geodatabase that is being queried by the ID widget. There are 4 fields near the end of the attribute table that contain links. See image below. Often, the first and last fields will have links, whereas the two fields in the middle will have no links, and will be <Null>. I believe, but am not certain, that the first of the 4 fields will always be populated, and sometimes all the fields will be populated. My guess is that your code isn't handling a situation where some of the fields in the middle are Null. I vaguely remember that there was a similar issue for the Flex version of the widget years ago, which I flagged, and you fixed.

Robert, I made the changes you suggested in the widget.js for that specific app: \\WABdev_1.2\server\apps\#\widgets\Identify Is that correct? When you say the "disable links" works for you, do you mean with or without the changes to widget.js you suggested? Cheers, Barnaby

Thanks for checking on the word wrap. Another idea would be to have the link icons left-justified instead of centered. Link text already is left-justified.

Robert, Another question. I have an attribute field which contains a long string, a full reference. Is there a way to turn on word wrap for the ID results so that the whole string doesn't appear on one line? Having the whole string on one line isn't the end of the world (you can scroll to the right to read the line), but if you have link icons that occur below the long line, the link icons are centered beneath the long string, so you can't see the icons in the ID results until you scroll to right. Cheers, Barnaby
