Hi, the inspector behaves differently than Python. If you select a street shape, also its "parent" graph segment (or node) is selected and the Inspector shows the combined set of attributes from nodes, segments and shapes (scene objects). Python's getAttribute (or getAttributeList) is closer to the underlying data structure and returns only the actually owned attributes of a scene object. I hope this helps & best, Simon

Hi, I did a quick experiment and it works fine for me: Depending on your scene, you might need to increase the inter-occlusion limits in the Preferences (General -> Procedural Runtime): Best, Simon

This sounds as if the trial user account you received is not correctly setup - best ask the Esri customer support where you got the trial license from.

Make sure that in the ArcGIS Administrator the License Type is set to "Named User" as described in the corresponding section in the installation guide. Cheers!

Hi, welcome to the world of procedural modeling with CGA. 🙂 There is unfortunately no undo functionality for Python scripts. If you are unsure about the correctness of a script, it is best practice to save a copy of the scene file (cej) before running the script. Or run the script on a copy of the scene (copying could even be part of the script itself). Best, Simon

Regarding performance, I did some initial tests (25 buildings with ~20mio polygons): Palladio 1.7 in Houdini 18.0: 6.1s Palladio 2.0 in Houdini 19.5: 5.8s So we cannot yet see worse perf in Palladio 2.0. Would you mind sharing some of your scene parameters, for example: How many initial shapes do you have? How complex are your rules, e.g. how many attributes do you have? Do you use inter-occlusion (between models)? How many assets do the rules insert? How many textures do you use? Ideally, if you could share an example scene where you see the perf difference would be best! Thanks & best, Simon

I'm not completely sure I understand your requirements for the location of the RPK file. Here is what I meant by using $HIP: 1. Create project with rpk subdir 2. Copy your RPKs into it: 3. Assuming you store your hip files in the project root, you can then reference the RPKs with the $HIP variable: I hope this helps!

Thanks for the info - we will try to reproduce the changes you saw. Regarding RPK path: we recommend to use a Houdini project, create an RPK directory in there and then use the $HIP variable to reference the RPK relative to the Houdini scene. I hope that works for you.

Thanks for the report! Regarding performance: with which Houdini version did you do the comparison? Did you build Palladio yourself? Regarding attributes: just to be sure, you say that the original initial shape attributes are not passed through anymore?

Theoretically Backporting Palladio 2.0 to Houdini 18.0 is possible but not quick, you would need to re-introduce support for 18.0 in the CMake and Conan files. There might also be a few small HDK API changes. Maybe the problems you had with 1.7 have been fixed in Palladio 1.9? Please note, Palladio 1.9 only understands RPK from CityEngine 2020.1 and older.

I'm glad you found a workaround. While there could be a bug in our multi-monitor handling I would be curious to see if applying "-Dglsinglebuffer" or disabling the NahimicService fixes the problem altogether? Best, Simon
