Why is it important to be able to set a different sharing setting for the associated web feature layer? Is your current workflow to share the map image layer with the associated web feature layer and then change the sharing settings for the web feature layer in portal after publishing? Hello, After evaluating this idea, we have decided not to make any changes to the current behavior. To share related tables with the web layer, use the commands on the Share ribbon: Share tab > Share As group > Publish Web Layer. In the Share As Web Layer pane, under the Content tab, you'll see the tables that will be published.   Users who don't want to include the related tables in the web layer can share the selected layer(s) only by right-clicking the individual layer in the Contents Pane > Share as web layer. ... @RonnieRichards CreateWebLayerSDDraft is an older function which the arcpy.sharing module now replaces. Can you refer to this sample code on publishing a table? The script publishes both a layer and table in your map, but it should work for tables by themselves too. ... View more

Hi @RonnieRichards, It is actually possible to overwrite a hosted table using ArcPy. You'll need to modify the overwriteExistingService property of the sharing draft.
