Is there a glitch in displaying domain names in the "New Map Viewer" and "Experience Builder"? I have the script below for my pop-up, it displays correctly when the map is viewed in the "Classic Map Viewer" and WebAppBuilder, but when viewed in the "New Map Viewer" and "Experience Builder" the domain name becomes blank (see screenshot of popup comparison at the end of the post)? The pop-up is also previewed correctly when tested on the custom pop-up expression window. Was hoping to be able to use the "New Map Viewer" and "Experience Builder", but the popup is an essential thing that I need in my design. Will appreciate any solution or workaround. var project_1 = 'Project: ' + DomainName($feature,"WORK_TYPE_1") + TextFormatting.NewLine + 'Description: ' + $feature["PROJ_DESC_1"] + TextFormatting.NewLine + 'Start Date: ' + Text ($feature["PROJ_START_1"], 'MMMM DD, YYYY') + TextFormatting.NewLine + 'Target Completion Date: ' + Text ($feature["PROJ_END_1"], 'MMMM DD, YYYY') + TextFormatting.NewLine + 'Project Status: ' + DomainName($feature,"WORK_STATUS_1") + TextFormatting.NewLine + '<br /><a href="' + $feature["HYPERLINK_1"] + '" target="_blank">Click link for more info</a>' var project_2 = TextFormatting.NewLine + TextFormatting.NewLine + TextFormatting.NewLine + '------------------------------------------'+ TextFormatting.NewLine + 'Project: ' + DomainName($feature,"WORK_TYPE_2") + TextFormatting.NewLine + 'Description: ' + $feature["PROJ_DESC_2"] + TextFormatting.NewLine + 'Start Date: ' + Text ($feature["PROJ_START_2"], 'MMMM DD, YYYY') + TextFormatting.NewLine + 'Target Completion Date: ' + Text ($feature["PROJ_END_2"], 'MMMM DD, YYYY') + TextFormatting.NewLine + 'Project Status: ' + DomainName($feature,"WORK_STATUS_2") + TextFormatting.NewLine + '<br /><a href="' + $feature["HYPERLINK_2"] + '" target="_blank">Click link for more info</a>' var project_3 = TextFormatting.NewLine + TextFormatting.NewLine + TextFormatting.NewLine + '------------------------------------------' + TextFormatting.NewLine + 'Project: ' + DomainName($feature,"WORK_TYPE_3") + TextFormatting.NewLine + 'Description: ' + $feature["PROJ_DESC_3"] + TextFormatting.NewLine + 'Start Date: ' + Text ($feature["PROJ_START_3"], 'MMMM DD, YYYY') + TextFormatting.NewLine + 'Target Completion Date: ' + Text ($feature["PROJ_END_3"], 'MMMM DD, YYYY') + TextFormatting.NewLine + 'Project Status: ' + DomainName($feature,"WORK_STATUS_3") + TextFormatting.NewLine + '<br /><a href="' + $feature["HYPERLINK_3"] + '" target="_blank">Click link for more info</a>' var project_2_extra = IIf(($feature["WORK_STATUS_2"] == 'planned' || $feature["WORK_STATUS_2"] == 'ongoing'), project_2, '') var project_3_extra = IIf(($feature["WORK_STATUS_3"] == 'planned' || $feature["WORK_STATUS_3"] == 'ongoing'), project_3, '') var popup_info = project_1 + project_2_extra + project_3_extra Return popup_info

Thanks for testing Zach, If it matters, forgot to mention that I am also pulling data from a large CSV file (more than 200,000 records) on the Survey123 part of the workflow. https://community.esri.com/thread/258799-browser-crashed-when-editing-data-in-survey123-website Tested on different devices both iOS and Android and still having the same issues. On the first data collection point, the survey goes well but on the next collection point if Survey123 was not closed from previous session and still running on the background, after launching the Survey123 Form from the Collector pop-up it crashes. Doing the collection/survey again with no Survey123 running on the background, everything runs OK. The link below are some logs recorded when the Survey failed to load, the only thing that stands to me on "20201110-102030", where on the end of the log it says "qt.qpa.glcontext: OpenGL ES calls are not allowed while an application is backgrounded" Link to log files

We have been having some issues on opening Survey123 from a pop-up from Collector. In our workflow, the Surver123 form is opened through asset point locations pop-up info in Collector and some of the data fields of the asset is passed to the Survey123 form that is opened by the link. It works fast and seamless on the 1st data collection point, but when we try to do another data collection point and Survey123 is still running from the background of the device, the form fails to load (it gets stucked on the loading screen). The user needs to fully close the Survey123 app after a collection point to make sure that the Survey123 form link would open on the next collection point from Collector. Does anybody else also had this issue? If yes, is there any work around that worked for you?

Finally able to try it, looks like this workaround will suffice our use-case. Thanks Phil.

Thanks for the answer James. Philip Wilson helped me out on the issue, and it seems that the problem is the size of the CSV file: Browser crashed when editing data in Survey123 Website Haven't had the time to work on it again, but will try his suggested workflow of creating another survey pointing to the feature layer without the pulldata part.

Thanks Phil, that sounds like a good workflow. Is this the steps needed to create another survey based on an existing feature layer: Use Survey123 with existing feature layers—ArcGIS Survey123 | Documentation

Thanks Phil, that CSV validator link is a great resource. I did extra data cleaning: removed commas, ampersands, qoutes, double qoutes and stripped text in all columns. I was able to create a CSV that passed the validator test. But am still having the same issues on the Survey123 web browser when editing the submitted data. Error message is still the same as the initial screenshot that I sent. So maybe its a performance issue on the web browser side due to the size of the CSV file (can't do anything about it since I already deleted all unnecessary columns on the table and will need all rows). I was pleasantly surprised that the pulldata is really fast on the mobile app. I am using both passing information from Collector and pulldata from the 32 MB CSV, satisfied with the speed so far. Another question, is there a way to disable the pulldata from CSV on the web browser side? Since, once the data is submitted from the field, the pulldata part is really not needed on the office backend, they only need to be able to edit/update the data and ability to edit the photo attachments (I know this could be done in different ways in AGOL, but based on user feedback in the organization, they like the form-view panel as an editing interface).

Hi Phil, Its the same issue with different browsers. The Survey was published with Survey123 Connect 3.10. I can provide you a copy of the CSV and xlsx form if you can provide me an address. I'd rather not post it here as it has some customer information involved. It is working well on the mobile app. The issue seems to be on the pulldata part on the Survey123 website, there is error in initializing the form. When I close the the error message, I am able to edit the answers on the form-view. I'll try to clean further my CSV table and double-check if there are more commas on the values, I did assume that since it is working well on the mobile app that it should be working on the Survey123 website too. Are there any other invalid characters in addition to commas that I should not use on the CSV table to avoid issues on the Survey123 website? Thank you. - Ramon

Does others experiencing the same issues? Everytime I try to edit a survey record in the Survey123 website (using the sidepanel edit window), the browser stops responding. Is this an issue if you have been passing data from Collector to the survey and also pulling data from an external CSV file? I can edit data by directly double-clicking the cells on the table, but when I try to do the edit through the side panel to have a more form-like feel and possibly edit picture attachments, the form fails to load and browser stops responding.

I'm trying to test letting users edit collected data through Survey123 website. The problem is every time I try to edit a record (right now the survey only has 1 record), the browser becomes unresponsive and get an "Error: Initializing form..." message... The survey works on devices and Connect. In the survey I implemented both passing values from Collector and pull data from an external CSV table. Does anybody encountered this problem and solved it? I really want users to be able to edit the data within Survey123 website as they prefer to have it on a form-like experience rather than map-like.... also there are various information and attachments that they need to associate with the record at different phase of the project and the form version makes it easier for them to organize and edit the data.... Thank you

I am trying to disable the "Update Point" of my editable layer in Collector but unable to do so. I made sure that when I published the feature layer from ArcMap, operations allowed in the Feature access settings are: update, sync and query. I also made sure that on Feature Layer Settings in AGOL that only allowed editing is Update - Attributes only But still when I open the map in Collector, the "Update Point" button is still there when I go to edit mode. What step am I missing here? I am introducing Collector to field people who are new to the technology, and I do not want them to accidentally update the position of the point data on the map, we only intend to edit some attributes.

Hi Mandy, Thank you for the reply. We are working with an external group that requires the collected geotagged photos, so the plan was to collect the field photos using QuickCapture then batch export the attachments to share it to them. Internally, the feature attributes works well (and preferred) for us as we have ArcGIS but the external group want the geotagged photos for their system. Is there a tool or python script that I can use to batch edit the exif files to update the lat-long of the pictures using the feature attributes? Kind Regards, Ramon

How can I ensure that all pictures taken by QuickCapture have proper geotagging information? I downloaded the picture attachments, and they did not have lat-long. I had location services on the phones turned ON. Is there a special settings in QuickCapture or data fields that need to be added on the feature service to ensure the photos are geotagged? Thank you.
