I guess you want to export a 'geolocated' scene from the CityEngine to visualize in an other software. For this, the CE has already a built-in functionality which handles this for you. Check the misc options in the Exporter Window. Lemme know if this helps.

I guess this is the same issue which was reported on MAC OS. this is a 'state' issue of the RMB context menu which prevents navigation. This issue has been fixed and will be ok in the upcoming SR.

by the way, setback and the shapeLOU operations need a yUp scope. as you certainly know, after a comp(f), the scope is zUp.

hi. for 2011.1, we have indeed fixed a mem leak, but not sure if it's your one. if you're on 2010.3, go to preferences/general/grammar core and disable the RCP Logger. does this help ? let me know.

hi Andre.. Yes, not everything has worked perfectly so far, we know. But it was inevidable that there will be some hiccups if you try to integrate a startup company into a big corporate company in so short time. But we all agree : Better one 'short' time with some hiccups, but once it's done the machine will run again. I guess the hiccup period is over now and things have been resolved. Mostly. 🙂 What also has to be known is that all Non-US Esri Distributors are actually independent companies, thus the whole 'cycle' of getting up to speed may have been slowed down a little. Concerning your questions : 1] You're supposed to be registered directly in the database of your local Distributor and thus get all necessary data directly from them. Including data to e.g. access software updates via DOWNLOAD. As I know you, you and your company are a very fast reacting users, assimilating updates much faster than it may be the case for companies which have to assimilate a new product and filter through the new user database, create web sites, promotional material, set up support and so on and so on. Esri is a very serious company, with the best intentions for the customer, including creating welcome packages and physical dvds for their users. 2] Concerning support, your direct contact would officially also be your local Esri Distributor, so if they are not yet ready to give you the proper support, use the other way you know - and yes, rely on it. You payed your support, thus you get it. This or an other way. Let me know if you have other questions !

hi ! I was not aware you're working with the Exporter. I asked one of the devs and it seems there may be some sort of mem leak in the Exporter, especially when called multiple times in a batch process. We're aware of the issue and try to fix this asap.

an other tip : on top of the viewport, there's a white entry field with a little black triangle. if e.g. the move tool is activated, you can move things via this input field, e.g. 10 0 0. btw, Andre, what did you try to move ? hopefully the graph segments ? Let me know..

Hi Gou ! Can you tell me precisely what OS you are using (amount of RAM / 32|64 bit / ..) ? The CityEngine caches (keeps in memory) assets and textures, thus it may be if you are frequently exchanging assets that your memory decreases. What may also help you is to delete from time to time the existing models via RMB > Delete Models. Did you see the recommended (and minimum) system requirements here ? http://resources.arcgis.com/content/cityengine/system-requirements Please let me know.

hi Tim, With the release of the CityEngine 2011, Esri has created new License Server software (based on their existing FlexNet technology) for the CityEngine, but for floating licenses (concurrent use), the old License Server you have should work fine too. Though, you will need to get a new floating license file from Esri which activates the new features. By 'code', do you mean that you got Activation Codes ? Because Activation Codes create nodelocked licenses, thus are of no use for you. Please let me know.
