Is it possible to add the directions widget to the Basic Viewer app template? A client wants it added to a web app we have already created. I can always create a new app with app builder if I have to.

Kelly, I have viewed the app in chrome, firefox and internet explorer and cannot find the scroll bar for the legend or layers panel in either of the browsers. The app is not yet ready to go public but I can create another app containing data that is already public and I will share that link when I have it.

Generally very useful changes. See my post about the new basic application template for a couple of issues I'm having with it. I'm also having a problem with related tables. I'm able to configure the pop up to show the link to open a table showing the related records, but the table displays all the records in the related table even though the table header correctly lists the number of related records.

I like the design of the new basic viewer app template and the configuration options included with it. However, there are couple of issues preventing me from using it instead of the old version of the app. The title/header bar does not expand enough to allow for a title longer than three or four words. Both the legend and layers list boxes do not display a scroll bar when needed to display all the data. The bookmarks bar does show a scroll bar when needed. Maybe I'm just missing some setting in the configuration.

I have had the same results with overwrite in 10.2.1. As long as the feature service is in my root directory overwrite works fine. It's a minor inconvenience and at least I can now update my hosted services without having to jump through hoops.

The search window is missing from the Parcel Viewer Map Application Template. I have it configured to search an address point feature service using an address field and a tax id field. Anyone else having this problem?

Mike, I did clear the browser cache. It cleared up the problem of named user roles not displaying on the orgs admin page, but not the problem I posted about. My issue appears on Chrome, Firefox and IE8.

As an administrator on our org account I no longer see an option to edit the item details on a feature service owned by others in our org. The only buttons showing up on the item details page are open and share. And the share dialog only shows a checkbox for "These groups" followed by our orgs groups. What happened to everyone and our org?

Thanks for the quick reply. You confirmed for me what I assumed to be the case with editing and sharing. We have a feature service shared with everyone that is part of a public web app and I was hoping I could limit editing to a couple of named users who are not the owners of the feature service and are not administrators. I guess I'll have to transfer ownership to one of them so they can use the option to open with full editing control. Perhaps a future enhancement could unlink sharing and editing so a feature service shared with everyone could have editing limited to named users or invited members of a group. Thanks again.

I have a hosted feature service that is shared with everyone. It's shared with everyone in a web map and a web application. Is there any way to limit editing of the service to invited members of a group owned by the owner of the feature service? If I enable editing from the details page of the feature service does that enable editing for anyone who can find the service and add it to their own web map or is editing limited to named users in an organization?

Did you publish your feature service to AGOL with arcmap v10 or v10.1? I had problems with data published from v10 and when I published the same data with v10.1 the problem was resolved. Hope that works for you.
