Currently the Collector apps only support point data collection. In our next release we will be bringing line and polygon support. The ArcGIS for iOS/Androind/WP apps support lines and polygons right now but you will not get the field crew tracking functionality. Cheers Russ

Hello, Could you share your service and map outside your org so I can check them out? You can private message me the links to those items when they are ready. Thanks Russ

Hey Jay, What type of security are you using on your layers? If possible could you private message me the service URL for this map and I can check out the URL to make sure it will work with the ArcGIS for Android App. Could you also make sure you clear the cache and data for the app and try to reload the map. Thanks! Russ

For the map that is causing the app to crash does it contain imported shapefiles or csv with a custom renderer? Thanks Russ

I couldnt repro your issue with the map I added into your group. Your original map was throwing the error in Android when I tried to open in. Have you tried re-saving that version of the map? Thanks! Russ

So i resaved the map in explorer.arcgis.com and the issue seems to have resolved itself. The new map is in the group and both apps can view it without any error message or crash. Cheers Russ

Can you invite mobileios to a group and I will check out the map.. If you can center the map on a feature that repros this issue that would be great. The second issue you listed: Is there a editable point feature service present in the map? This is required to make the map "Collector" ready and the user should see it in their content once they login. Please share this one with me as well and I can take a look. Thanks! Russ

Are you using hosted services? If you are using a single symbol with a hosted feature service the template on the rest endpoint will still have a name "New Feature" and you cannot change this value which is why you are seeing New Feature. if you host the feature through desktop you will see the layer name instead of "New Feature". Let me know if you have any further questions. Russ

Can you check the rest endpoint for this layer and see how the domains are sorted under types. We currently mirror that sorting in teh app today. Cheers Russ

Thanks for the feedback Peter. Just a couple comments below to some of the issues/limitations you reported. Currently the Collector does not support "not a null field" The tracking layer will show up in the "Collect a Feature" pick list when he layer is set to visible. This is a known limitation but we are working towards improving this experience. The rotation you see on AGOL can be a browser limitation. I have noticed different browsers not honoring image orientation that are posted by an iOS device. Are you using IE? Offline is on our radar and will be coming in a future release. Thanks again for the feedback Cheers Russ

Hey Ben, Thanks for the great feedback. We are currently working on improving the opening maps on phone experience in our upcoming update. This will solve Difficult sending maps to the phone & login experience. We are also working on improving our documentation. Is there anything specific you would like to see added to the current documentation? The app will still be focused on point data collection in this coming update but we do have plans to include line and polygon collection in a future update. We are also working towards supporting offline workflows which will also be in a future release of the app. Cheers Russ

Can you edit your link to look like this: http://org-name.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=item-id-here or use the arcgis-collect:// link. The iPhone will work with both of these URLs. Hope this helps you out. Russ
