Can you check that your web map has specific application settings visible on the map details page? These settings will show up when the map has an editable point feature service or the tracking layer. Let me know if this helps you out. Russ

You will need to have an ArcGIS Online Subscription account to publish a hosted feature service that is configured to be a tracking layer. Here are the steps below on how to create this layer and configure it once your map is created. http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/collector-ios/index.html#//02s20000000m000000 Hope this helps you out. If you are working in a connected environment and you have an ArcGIS Server available or an ArcGIS Online Subscription you can use the ArcGIS for iOS, Android or Windows Phone applications. These applications can leverage your AGS Feature Service or a Hosted Feature Service from your Subscription to collect waypoints. Cheers Russ

You will have to slightly format your query for a result to be returned. You can edit the date field while you create the PQ so you have a sample of the correct query entered or use a defined value inside that will not be changed. In for the PQ on a date field you will have to enter in a value that should look like this: '2012-12-28' then the result will be returned for this query. Hope this helps you out. Cheers Russ

You will need to use ArcGIS Server Feature Service or AGOL Hosted Feature Service to be able to perform data collection/edits on the ArcGIS for iOS, Android and Windows Phone apps. The apps cannot edit imported shapefiles, csvs or gpx files and map notes layers. Cheers Russ

The item id you are using is coming from a map service item and not a web map. You will need to place this item within a web map and save it off. Then use the new web map id within the JSON extraction URL and you will be able to bring that JSON into your mobile content server. Cheers Russ

Are the web maps under the my content high level folder or are they in sub folders? The apps only display web maps and will not display any other item type in your accounts content. Thanks! Russ

The layer did not load in the web map. I am guessing it is coming from an internal server. Can you take a screen grab of the Android application when you are viewing the map so I can see what tools are available in that view. Thanks Russ

You will need to publish a feature service using ArcGIS Server: http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisserver/10.0/help/arcgis_server_dotnet_help/index.html#//009300000020000000 Then you can choose to author a webmap on ArcGIS Online or on your Mobile Content Server: http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgismobile/10.0/apis/iphone/AppGuide/Maps.pdf http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisonline/help/#/About_authoring_web_maps/010q0000009p000000/ Then the app can consume what you create and where you can collect new features or edit existing. I just moved my group and maps to the TNC AG for orgs space (I'm the GIS manager for the TNC Calif. program) and now the mobile client on iOS is not finding my groups or maps, just hanging. Is this a known issue? Yes this is a known issue. The current version of the app in the app store does not fully support organizations with SSL enabled. This has been fixed and will be in the next release of the app. Cheers Russ

Can you share the map link in this thread or invite mobileios to a arcgis.com group which contains this map? I would like to take a look at your query and see if I can figure out what is causing this error to popup. Cheers Russ
