You don't need to manually add the tiledbasemaps services into an AGOL web map. The app handles this when the map is enabled as offline with any of the esri basmaps except Open Street Map and the Bing basemaps. The web map needs to have all layers support sync and the offline button will be enabled when the map is saved. Russ

The Area field is a reserved field name in the geodatabase and that is why the export was causing the field values to wipe them out. This python script should help you out with pulling down the features and attachments: https://gist.github.com/oevans/6992139 Cheers Russ

The collector app doesn't have reshape tool. You can just edit a feature by moving or deleting the vertices. You can use your current location by tapping on the "my location" icon(attached in this post). Russ

We currently do not have a desktop version of the Collector app. You can only edit/collect features that were published to a feature service with editing capabilities enabled and have that service in a web map. You currently cannot create a layer in the app. Cheers Russ

Editor tracking and ownership controls are currently not supported with hosted services. Could you disable those properties and then try to do the data collection and sync. Thanks Russ

Are you using a service with required fields? We do have an issue with required fields are working on a fix and could be the reason why you are seeing the rollback message that the service is sending the app when you are trying to sync. Russ

Can you create a version of your service with the Area field name changed to something different and try exporting the data and see the data field data not get wiped out? The filed name area is a gdb reserved word and we are looking into the issue to see if that is causing the export to wipe out the field data. Russ
