I tested this out with my 10.2.2 server with Collector Android 10.2.7 using the owner of the item to download the layer and then an account of a user that has access to the item through a group and both were able to download the service with no errors.  When you are adding the layer as a proxied item in AGOL you need to use the top level of the service and not the individual layer level. This is what it should look like: http://servername.esri.com/arcgis/rest/securedfsname/FeatureServer If you create the proxied item with the URL for the individual layer like /FeatureServer/0 when any app tries to access the Create Replica capability the app cannot gain access because the proxied item only exposes the layer level of the service to app and not the top level. Yes, When you are under My Content click on Add Item and when you choose Add Item from a file you want to make sure you have the option to publish this service as a feature service enabled. Did you make the layer of addresses an editable feature service or did you drag and drop a csv file into the AGOL map viewer? When you drag a file into the AGOL map viewer this creates a layer that is not a feature service and the Collector cannot edit it. Thanks Russ ... View more

You can hide your server URL by securing your feature services and setting up a proxy on the service in AGOL. This will hide the URL of your server to the user and it will show up as "utility.arcgis.com/.." and you will not be able to see the actual server URL.  You can do this by 1)enabling ArcGIS Server security on your service, 2) In AGOL under My Content click "Add Item" and Add from the web. The NSURL error message you are seeing is a server timeout error. If you could increase the timeout time on your server and retry the download and see if that works. ... View more

Hey Rachel, Can you try this: First make a backup of the map having the issue. You can copy this data to another folder or locally to your computer.
