I have the same problem. Everything works in Classic, but not in the new Collector. I can perform all the operations within Collector, but the "Submit" button remains greyed out and will not allow me to submit any changes. I am using Portal 10.5.1 Services are published from Server 10.5; Services are secured with the credentials stored within the Portal; I have not modified the symbology that was configured within the MXD used to publish the service.

I have heard of other organizations using feature representations to overcome the issue you have described. The asset gets GPSd at it's actual location, but a representation rule places the symbol at a specified offset. I have not tried this myself, so I have no idea on how well it would be supported across the ESRI Enterprise gamut of products.

K. If it would help you I could set up a quick screen share and phone call and I can show you how I have it set up.

I'm not sure if I understand the full picture or not, but if the fields holding the GPS attributes match between the hydrant GPS and the wHydrant feature class than you can do a simple copy and paste within an edit session. Start the edit session on wHydrant, select the GPS point, right click copy, right click paste.

I know this is possible using GENERATEID, because I did the EXACT same thing you are trying to do.... but I'm using a SQL SP for my asset id assignment now, so I don't have the method in my dynamic value table anymore! Let me try to rack my brain. The field type of your GISOBJID field is text right?

Just off the cuff... you could display your pressure zone polygons within the collector map (or a separate collector map) and have a table related to each polygon showing the order of activities and have a yes/no or pending/complete column constrained to a domain that the operators could toggle as the complete the specific tasks for each pressure zone?

I've struggled with this question as well. The requirements of our hydraulic model made the final decision. We use Innovyze Infowater, and the modeling requirement is for line splits at every distribution pipe intersection and line splits at every control valve that will be used within the hydraulic model.

Anyone maintaining a 1:1 model with Infowater for hydraulic modeling? I am hoping to gain some insight into best practices/lessons learned etc before we dive into this.

Thanks for the reply. I think I am stumping ESRI as well. Our setup is pretty simple. We don't have any named versions; all of our editors edit the default version directly and somehow a user is getting conflicts on her own edits after hitting the save button (implicit reconcile and post).

Ah, yeah I think you're right for the https redirect part. I just tested it. Thanks! The next piece I am looking for is setting up a rewrite rule that it basically appends /arcgis to the end of the URL so that our users do not have to specify that part to get to the portal homepage. Any experience with that?

I want to configure https redirect and a URL rewrite rule so that something like this: hostname.domain.org resolves to: https://hostname.domain.org/arcgis Before I dive into it, I wanted to see if anyone has any tips/tricks or ran into any difficulties that I should be aware of. Thanks!

Did you get this to work? I was thinking of doing a similar workflow. Also, it looks like if the basemap used in Collector is in the same coordinate system as your feature service that editing in Collector should work just fine?

Hi Larry! You will need to install the pyodbc python module for the portion of the error handling that writes to a SQL log table. pyodbc basically allows you to access your ODBC database through Python. If you don't care about this portion of the script you can remove the import statement for pyodbc and all other referenced code. Home · mkleehammer/pyodbc Wiki · GitHub Are you wondering how to build the logging table in SQL Server? or something else?
