I totally agree having this functionality as configurable within the web would be the optimal solution. Having to change items on the backend within the database is much less flexible especially when services are being consumed by multiple application.

It was showing up in any field with a domain value which was confusing users. Also the ability to change the attribute for a column that the editing template uses to symbolize is also an issue which then clears out fields that do not have a default value. This behavior does not exist in Arcmap, ArcGIS mobile so it is very confusing to users.

I totally agree the flexibility to control the required value property in AGOL would be a really nice enhancement. I would also like to see the ability to include date/time stamps for inserting vs updating data configurable within AGOL as well so I don't have to use the editor tracking functionality within the database.

Yup you will most likely need the 64bit version of pyodbc. Also I noticed you are using a DSN to access your database. You should also make sure that you have the DSN setup in the correct ODBC manager on your windows server. Most likely if you are using 64bit it should be in the 64bit manager

Good to know. I would prefer to move to collector which should be pretty easy but I was hoping for one more release of mobile with some maintenance fixes. Such as supporting the windows location api for onboard gps and fixing the screen resolution bug.

I would recommend putting desktop on the DB server. It will be a lot easier to run your scripts than trying to call a python path from another location on the network. All of the python libraries needed on your server will be there when you install desktop. I have done this for years with great success automating tasks this way. You can also leverage other python libs as well to interact with your non-spatial databases as well.

I think you can but there are some features that you will not be able to access using the 10.0 version such as attachments etc... You may also run into some issues since I think the mobile cache changed. Was your server previously 10.0 there is a difference between 10.1/10.2x in the way services are generated. I currently am using a 10.1 server with ArcGIS Mobile 10.2 and we are not having any issues related to software versions

Yea I found that too. Its just surprising that a company provides no info about a project people are actively using. Yet they still have info on there page about purchasing it etc.... Also the constant name changing of products is really getting irritating. We have unfortunetly invested in windows tablets and not having a real solution other than mobile or building out a custom app using the .net api is really a joke. We are leveraging collector as well but we can't just throw out all of our windows hardware and start over. I heard the same thing about the conference they were hiding the info on the future of windows platform mobile solutions.

Has this been removed from downloads. I can't seem to see it using your instructions. I know that we have this due to local government ELA but it seems to have vanished. Also there is no 10.3 version correct?

I am having a really hard time trying to figure out if ESRI has ended development on ArcGIS for Windows Mobile. I don't see a 10.3 version or can I even find the status of this product. We assumed it is being replaced by collector but I am still using it and would like to know the status so we can plan migrating off of it. Maybe someone from ESRI could chime in?

You will need to reload the service in mobile project center. After that you will notice that the domain values are now in place. ArcGIS Mobile is kind of a pain in this aspect I have noticed. Looking forward to moving to collector someday as the admin of that is much easier since you can just refresh the service.
