Hi Katy, I did try to add this as a layer and after specifying login/pwd, it does seem like it is processing but it doesn't add anything? Here is the wms image service that I am trying to add: http://www.valtus.ca/wms/servlet/wmsserver? Appreciate any feedback. Thanks Jay

Hi There, I am looking for suggestions from user community regarding some options for complex reporting. I would like to allow users to browse for data and then based on their selection they can generate a preformatted report and download the reprot as PDF. I want to have reporting logic on server so that we can accommodate any future technology changes and be able to use existing development. I have looked at number of third party controls like Infragistics/Comopnent One/Pertpetuum/ Dev Express/Telrik/Active Reports. I am not sure Crystal reports are an option. Most of the third party controls that I have seen are based on client side. Appreciate any feedback. Thanks Jay

Hi There, I am trying to install new viewer and I have an already installed BETA on this Windows XP machine. From Control panel, uninstall asks me to unintsall previous version. When I try to uninstall previous version , it prompts me for Setup.msi. I am looking for some feedback if someone had similar issues and if there is workaround to this problem. Thanks jay

Hi There, I am trying to convert a latlong point to UTM. To define UTM projection, I need to calculate zone for the point. I am trying to figure out the best way to do this. One way to do this would be use longitude values to find the proper zone. This would require lot of coding. I am curious if there is a better way of doing this. Thanks jay

Hi There, I am working on a demo for an ArcMobile project. I have the mxd with mobile data access enabled. From the mobile project center, I saved the project to my ArcGIS.com account. I can see the project uploaded. When I go to the my mobile device and try to download the project, download fails. It seems like I am missing something here. Appreciate any feedback. Thanks Jay

Hi Aaron, This is really encouraging that we can consume Web services. I am assuming that this webservice was a .NET web service. The application that I am designing will do something similar where it does a query and then creates a report. I am new to flex development. As part of this project, i am trying to have most of the logic contained in web services and then calling then use the Flex API to show content on the web. Are there any web resources that i could use as starting point for this flex and .NET interaction. I would really appreciate any input. Thanks Jay

Hi, I am trying to figure out what type of system requirement is required for serving a Silverlight based web application for up to 500 users (50 users at a given time). Hi Rex, Thanks for the note. I was able to successfully connect to these servcies on SampleServer1. There were some addtional rules implmented by our our corporate security. This resolved the issue and now I can access all the samples. Thanks again for your help. Jay

Hi Rex, Thanks for the reply. I followed the steps that you suggested. it did work and I can see the image. I have attached the screenshot below. it seems like something is working. I have also attached the xml files (text format) for cross domain policies that I am using. Thanks Jay

Hi Jennifer, It seems like a workplace security issue with IE. There are some enhanced settings for Internet Security options. I am just trying to figure out what to ask to change in term of permissions for this site to work. I have Silverlight plug-in installed and it installed OK and I can browse Silverlight based websites properly. Thanks for your feedback. Jay

Hi There, I was trying to access some of the Interactive samples on the res. center. I found that none of the maps would show, trying to figure out what is going on, not sure if this is related to cross domain policy. I have attached the snapshot of error message.
