Hi @JoshDryer2 and @HeatherFay I'm sorry to hear you're seeing intermittent issues with exporting infographics to PDF from BA Web App. Since the issue only occurs at times and then seems to resolve itself, it's possible there could be some network connectivity or performance issues occurring. If/when the issue occurs again, we can try to learn more through some additional troubleshooting: Are you exporting the infographic from the Run Reports tab or from the Infographics player that displays over the Maps tab? Does the issue occur in both areas? Are you working with a custom infographic template? If so, does the issue also occur with other templates like the Standard infographics templates? Is the issue occurring from multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari)?

Hi @CarsonSuppe, thank you for posting this idea and for explaining how you work with Community Analyst amongst your team. When sharing your projects, you should see an option to share with your entire organization which will make the project accessible to all members who are a part of your organization. If your goal is to make your projects accessible to all members of your organization, then using this setting should help prevent the need to add individual members to the sharing settings. Just to make sure we understand your Idea, would you like to see these sharing settings available through the Preferences settings for Projects?

Thank you for explaining your additional question @ArielLow2146. In this situation with the At Risk Population infographic template, the simple variable calculation you are seeing is accomplished through the settings within the table itself. The cells in the row are summed to the column labeled Total. When designing tables for infographics, you can select multiple cells using the shift key and then use the Caclulate totals tab to add a row or column summing or averaging the selected variable values. I hope this explanation helps and please feel free to let me know if you have questions about any of the other Standard templates for infographics.

Hi @ArielLow2146, thank you for reaching out with this question. Some variables, including ACS data for all 50 states and the District of Columbia, are not available for creating custom variables. This is as designed to help ensure the quality of calculated variables.

@AnaGrdan Thank you for providing access to the source data, in my testing this issue does seem related to the particular local projection. Attached is your data appended to Croatia Counties, but projected to Web Mercator so no transformation will be required. You can use this shapefile to create your custom data directly in Business Analyst Web App or you can publish it as a hosted feature service in ArcGIS Online. This should help you move forward with your workflow, but please let us know if you have any further issues.

Thank you for providing the link to the feature service @AnaGrdan, I am able to reproduce the error when working with the service. I see the service is using a local projection and it's possible this is contributing to the issue. For this particular projection, there is not a transformation available to convert to Web Mercator, which is what the sites use. Additionally, if I use my own Croatia Counties, projected in Web Mercator (102100) with your variables joined, then I am able to avoid the error. I can help confirm this if you would like to provide access to the source data for me. You can just enable the Export Data option on your service in ArcGIS Online from the Settings tab, or you can send along a fgdb of the data. Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Hi Rachael, the issue you are seeing with accessing documentation should be fixed now. Please let us know if you are still having issues. Apologies for the inconvenience and thanks for your patience. Regarding the labels for your features not showing after adding your map to BA Web App, this is known limitation currently. However, we are considering improving workflows for working with labels in a future release and will appreciate any feedback you would like to provide for your particular use case. For working with your web map layers in infographics and reportscan you please confirm if you are building templates using the Map Layers option? Here is a blog which has some great tips for this workflow - check out the second section that is specific to Map Layers. Best practices when sharing and running infographics with your own data

Thank you for providing these details @AnaGrdan. I have run through the same workflow with my own data and am not seeing the any errors when appying my custom variables as criteria. To look into this issue further, we will need to take a look at your specific service more closely. If you are comfortable sharing your hosted feature service publicly, then you can provide the url to me here and I will be happy to take another look. Otherwise, the best option would be to contact Support for assistance from an analyst over a screen share.

Hi! This type of error usually indicates issues with connecting to the service in ArcGIS Online. Can you please share a few more details about your workflow? At which step in the Suitability Analysis are you importing your layer from ArcGIS Online? For example, are you setting the layer up as custom data or are you adding a point layer to use as criteria?

In the StoryMap design I have been working with, it would be helpful to be able to bookmark a topic starting in the middle of a sidecar. However, I agree with Nicole that if bookmarking the start of a sidecar, guided tour, slideshow, etc. would also be an improvement that I could work with.

This appears to be unexpected behavior when querying with Return Distinct Values. This issue has been reported to the Product Team for further investigation as BUG-000117499 : Query fails at REST with 'Unable to perform query operation' when returning Distinct Values with outField that has name over 22 characters long. Hopefully we will see this issue addressed soon! Thanks, Cheryl

The issue described in this post should only occur when using the Create Map Tile Package geoprocessing tool. Other workflows for creating tile packages should not show the same issue. After creating a tile package and service with one of the workflows described in Option 1 and you need to update the existing service, there are a few options to consider. These are described in the following article: FAQ: Is it possible to update tiles in a Tile Service hosted in ArcGIS Online? It seems like Method 3 is the best option for updating tiles when publishing from Pro or ArcMap originally and avoiding spending any credits on tile generation (which it looks like you were trying when running into the Invalid scale error). For creating the tpk to use with the Import Tiles workflow while avoiding BUG-000104517, the following workflow can be used in ArcMap or Pro: Manage Tile Cache tool > Export Tile Cache tool (Use Tile Package for the Export Cache As parameter) For the repackaging in Option 2, an Esri tool is not required for this. This type of compression can be performed through 7-Zip which is available for free download here: https://www.7-zip.org/

To help clarify the workaround options for this issue: Option 1 shows workflows that can be used to first create the tile package and service in order to avoid the issue altogether. This option is not intended to fix a tile package and service that are already showing the issue. For option 2, after making the edits to the mapserver.json file, a specific method should be used to repackage the tpk. Are you repackaging using Archive format- zip and Compression level- Store? If so, can you share more about the errors you are seeing?
