Ok, You're able to see the features from your runtime content only if you add a base map. Otherwise, you see nothing. Correct me if I'm wrong. If this is the case, can you share the following information? The .geodatabase file that was generated from runtime content. You can send it over as a 'Private Message' if you don't wish to share it in the post. ArcMap version Any errors you got while adding the data without basemap

I understand you want to display runtime content created from ArcMap. You've already created that which is good. Can you clarify which of the following describes your need? You don't want any base map ( or ) You don't want an offline base map but still want an online base map If you don't add any base map to the map, you would just see the gray background. That is expected. Please elaborate on your requirements, that would help us point you the right way.

Nathan, This seems to be work for simulator, for iPad its giving error Domain=com.esri.arcgis.runtime.error code=12 "automatic extension loading failed:" Vikrant, At present, the SDK does not support opening geodatabase from bundle in device for those geodatabases created from REST services. (Geodatabase created as "Runtime Content" from ArcMap should work fine) Hence the error. In this case, the geo database has to be in the documents directory. I've outlined a work around in my previous reply where you can add the geodatabase through iTunes File Sharing. Does that work for you? Suganya

This seems to be an issue with the SDK. We'll work on fixing it, thanks for reporting. As a workaround, assuming you are starting the datasource in mapViewDidLoad:, calling zoomToGeometry after that in a different method call (like in an IBAction) seems to work.

When I was getting the error I was attempting to implement the offline geodatabase layer using the code in the guide section of the developer site. After taking a step back (and having a stiff drink) I realized I needed to be initializing the localFeatureTable as self.localFeatureTable... that cleared things up nicely. Our iPads are now happily drawing a 13k polygon land ownership layer and making it look easy! Glad it worked out for you. Yes, if you had declared the localFeatureTable as a property, you initialize it using self.localFeatureTable (except in init method in which case you use the instance variable _localFeatureTable)

When you start data source, and if your auto pan mode is anything other than AGSLocationDisplayAutoPanModeOff, the map would zoom to your current location. If you want to zoom to a different area, turn off location display's auto pan mode.
[self.mapView.locationDisplay startDataSource];
self.mapView.locationDisplay.autoPanMode = AGSLocationDisplayAutoPanModeOff;
More information on auto pan modes here Hope this helps! I encourage you to try our latest releases 10.2.3 or 10.2.2 to take advantage of all the new capabilties

Also experiencing this issue with a geodatabase created using the desktop workflow. Geodatabase contains one polygon layer Micheal, This seems to be a different issue. This error is returned if you try to add a non-spatial table to a AGSFeatureTableLayer. Can you confirm this in your data? If the issue still exists, can you share your data?

James, The issue might be with 'FACILITYDIAGRAM' field in the feature class. This field is declared as 32 bit int, where as many of its subtypes have the default value of float. It might have happened if you typed 0.0 instead of 0 in one of the previous versions of the destop. Can you try reassigning the default values in ArcCatalog and try creating the runtime package again? Hope this helps!

Can you provide these details? 1) Are you including the geodatabase in your app bundle or in documents folder? 2) Are you testing with simulator or device? If device, can you try with simulator and tell what happens? Yes, do share the geodatabase

Editing is not currently allowed for versioned data. So while publishing, make sure to unselect "Create", "Update", "Delete" options (Only "Query" & "Sync" should be). After the service is published, this can be verified by "Supported Operations" on the layer. It should not include "Add Features","Update Features","Delete Features","Apply Edits". Can you confirm what's in there? This section has more info on creating offline content for versioned and non-versioned data
