What's disappointing is the sheer amount of bugs Esri must have in their software. You're just one person. I'm one person. And think about the number of bugs we, as individual people, have submitted. Then let's add up all of the other users of Esri's software and think about the amount of bugs that must be getting submitted. The fact that my bug was first introduced in 10.9.1 and first logged on September 8, 2022 and sat in Esri's bug queue for 1.5 YEARS before finally being addressed and fixed in 11.4 (which will be over 2 years since the bug was first logged by the time 11.4 is released), should be enough to say how big Esri's bug backlog is. Or alternatively, how under-staffed Esri's bug fixing department is. Completely unacceptable and disappointing.

That's a different error than the one I had (maybe because we were using something other than Windows Firewall). But that sounds exactly like what could be causing the issue. It's saying Windows Firewall blocked the ArcGIS Server exe, which explains why you're getting a refused connection error in the web browser. I'm not 100% sure on how to modify the Windows firewall to whitelist it, but that's something I'd look into.

Anything in the ArcGIS Server logs? Since you can't access Server Manager, you'd have to access the logs directly here: c:\arcgisserver\logs Also it might be worth checking out Event Viewer. That's how I found out that our firewall was blocking ArcGIS Monitor.

The expression you’re using is the exact same as the expression used in this blog post (number 6). https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/monitor/administration/arcgis-monitor-analysis-elements-for-enterprise-portal-content/ However, it appears that that expression calculates users who are active in the past 30 days. The “users_total:active” retrieves the number of users who have signed into portal within the past 30 days according to the blog post. The 30 minutes in the expression is referring to when it last retrieved the statistic of getting the numbers of active users from the past 30 days. Not the number of active users from the past 30 minutes. I’m not aware of any functionality that displays the number of online users (or if they’ve logged in the last X min, hours, days, etc.). But I would love to see that as a capability!

Actually, I wasn't thinking and I have 11.2 installed and I can confirm that I do NOT have that utility. In fact, the entire UpdateArcMapServices folder doesn't even exist.

Normally, you can select the "Other Versions" in their help documentation and if that documentation exists for the version you need, then it should be included. The problem with the page you posted is that even if I select other versions, such as 11.2, it keeps on redirecting me back to 10.9.1. So I'm not sure if this is a bug in their documentation or not. I submitted feedback on that page to Esri so hopefully it gets addressed. And hopefully someone else will be able to confirm if that functionality exists in 11.2.

I'm confused on what the issue is. You stated that you encountered BUG-000147597. But Esri has already released a patch for it. So have you not installed the patch? Or did you install the patch and still encountered the issue and then resorted to restoring from a backup? Regardless, if you've already restored from a Windows backup, then I guess it's too late to resolve that issue. At this point, it's not going to hurt to just restart the Windows services of ArcGIS Server and see if it comes back online. Also check the ArcGIS Server logs and see if you can find anything. As a last resort, you might have to do a WebGISDR restore.

As long as you're running a version of ArcGIS Enterprise that supports it, at minimum, you can put notification banners in Portal that will notify users of upcoming maintenance. Alternatively, depending on your environment, you might be able to get creative with your public IP routing and hosts file. You can spin up another server that hosts your basic website. Then move your existing public IP to the new server so anyone trying to access Portal will get routed to the new server with your basic website. Of course, you might need to edit the hosts file on your production machines so any traffic coming from that machine doesn't get inadvertently routed to your new machine and mess up the upgrade. That might be an overly convoluted way of doing it. Other might have much simpler ideas.

This might be the closest you'll be able to get. There are various aviation related datasets here. Specifically, you might be interested in the Airline Origin and Destination Survey. It's a sample of airline tickets including origin and destination. It might not include literally every flight, but might be the closest you'll be able to get. https://www.transtats.bts.gov/databases.asp?Z1qr_VQ=E&Z1qr_Qr5p=N8vn6v10&f7owrp6_VQF=D

If you’re publishing to ArcGIS Enterprise, you might be able to see the full error message in the ArcGIS Server Manager logs. In general, Esri does not support sync capabilities on tables with 64 bit ObjectIDs. I wouldn’t think that would apply to Survey123 though, but that’s the first thing that came to mind when the error stated 64 bit. https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/sharing/analyzer-error-messages/00411-value-contains-a-field-type-that-cannot-be-used-with-the-sync-capability.htm

Yes, you can access the S123 data collected outside of Portal by connecting directly to the ArcGIS Data Store PostgreSQL DB through a third party program like PGAdmin. It's something that I do all the time and is relatively easy to do.

While I agree Esri and others have known about this potential outcome for 18 months, that also means they've had 18 months to mitigate this issue in advanced as opposed waiting until a month before Chrome releases a breaking update forcing everyone to install a patch in a month timeframe before Portal breaks. I don't believe they've only had days/weeks to deal with this considering it's already "fixed" in 11.3. Even Esri indirectly admitted in their own support article that Portal is dependent on "old, obsolete piece of web technology." My question is why is this being mitigated at the last minute when this warning has supposedly been an open book? Edit: Not directing my frustration at you. I'm just frustrated at the situation and the lack of communication from Esri about a major breaking change.

I only found out about this because that support article showed up on my "suggested" sites to visit in Chrome. This absolutely needs to be communicated with all Esri customers via email or some other notification. Anytime there is a "breaking" update, whether it be through Esri or another program that interacts with Esri, there needs to be a mass communication about it. Unless if the expectation is that the burden is supposed to fall onto the customer to constantly check Esri's support/knowledge base and/or geonet for this kind of information.

Unfortunately, the only solution is to stay at the lowest release of Pro among all your partners, or have separate environments with Pro installed on each one that corresponds to the version your partners are running.

The problem technically isn't with ArcGIS Pro. The problem is with your underlying data. Esri released new GDB functionality at 3.2. Some of which include new high precision date fields and 64 bit ObjectIDs. So if you created new tables at 3.2+, then often times by default, it will include this new GDB functionality which is not compatible with versions of ArcGIS Enterprise 11.1 or earlier. Unfortunately, there isn't really a solution except to not use this new functionality. https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/ensure-backward-client-compatibility-when-registering-a-000032250
