Hi, You can use the Layer 3D to feature class tool to burn in the elevation values from the ground source to the feature class. Layer 3D To Feature Class—Help | Documentation

Just to follow up from my testing, I am not able to reproduce this with several different datasets so if you are able to provide the feature class that would help a lot. thanks! Andrew

FYI these bugs are usually data specific not indicative of a large problem publishing scene layers. I'll follow up with our Online team to update the status as these are usually fixed pretty quickly. thanks, Andrew

Hi, Sorry to hear you are running into this problem. A few thoughts on this: 1) Is there any specific reason why you are not running this through the Create Building Scene Layer Package tool? Working with building data (IFC, Revit) the recommended workflow is to create a building layer via BIM File to Geodatabase and Make Building Layer tools. That is not to say that you can't run this through the Create 3D Object Scene Layer tool but you can take advantage of the building functionality such as filters, layer structure etc when working with a building scene layer. 2) Regarding popups, when you author any scene layer the pop up information gets written to the popup info. All ArcGIS clients will read from the popup info on the scene layer so you do not need to have an associated feature layer to configure popups. Additionally, thin clients (Scene Viewer, ArcGIS Earth) cannot configure popups so the recommended workflow is to configure popups in ArcGIS Pro prior to authoring the scene layer so that when you consume the scene layer it will display everything as expected no matter who looks at it. 3) Are you able to provide the source feature class? 4) Moving forward since this does work through the GP tool in ArcGIS Pro my recommendation is to configure the popups and author the slpk (Create Building Scene Layer Package tool) and publish the slpk in ArcGIS Online. We haven't seen this behavior on our end with our revit data but i'll do some more testing to try and reproduce but it is possible this is a data specific bug and having access to the source data would help us debug further. thanks for your time, Andrew

Hi Andrew, Does your raster have pyramids built on it? If so then I would expect that behavior since when you zoom out it would render the lower resolution pyramid. thanks, Andrew

Also David, I just saw your comment in another thread and there is actually a different workflow you can use to remove the Generic Model from the building layer. My colleague from the CAD/Revit team will be posting in that thread shortly. thanks, Andrew

Hi David, The building filter is only available on building scene layers for 2.5 so that is why it is grayed out for the building layer (from revit). Currently the only workflow then is to add the filter after the building scene layer package has already been created. I do have some good news though in that we have worked with the CAD team to add this functionality in 2.6. The manage tab for building layers (from revit) will include the building filter button along with a button for generating statistics on the building layer. I can keep you posted when the ArcGIS Pro 2.6 beta comes out if you want to check out the functionality before final release in June (tentatively) thanks, Andrew

Hi David, We are able to publish scene layers successfully from ArcGIS Pro 2.5 to ArcGIS Online. Is this only reproducible with this specific multipatch feature layer or any multipatch feature layer that you publish? thanks, Andrew

Hi Dirk, How many buildings are you usually editing at a time? If it's a smaller number then we have the partial update option so you do not need to do a full cache rebuild and consume a large amount of credits. Manage hosted scene layers—ArcGIS Online Help | Documentation For popups, have you tried configuring prior to publishing? If you do it in ArcGIS Pro before you publish then the configuration will be written to the popupInfo. Thin clients such as the Scene Viewer do not have popup configuration options yet so the best workflow would be to configure prior to publishing. thanks, Andrew

Hi, If i'm understanding what you're trying to do then I believe all you need to do is to enable "Display 3D Symbols in real-world units" on the layer properties Let me know if that works. thanks, Andrew

Hi Ian, There's nothing you're doing wrong on your end. Runtime does not currently support labels on Scene Layers. This is something they are aware of and hopefully will be implemented later this year. The only other way to get 3D Labels would be to convert your point layer to a KML layer using the Layer To KML tool and then add that to the scene to package as a mobile scene package. Keep in mind KML layers are only supported in WGS 84 coordinate system. thanks, Andrew

HI Ian, Glad to hear that worked for you! I would say yeah it's probably easier to keep it in WGS84 but some people prefer to have it in Web Mercator and once ArcGIS Runtime can support direct read of services in packages next year it will be easier to use with the Esri Basemaps and 3D Terrain but for now the mobile scene package is an offline story only. thanks, Andrew

Hi Ian, Since the tile package cannot be reprojected it must match the coordinate system of the scene. Since ArcGIS Runtime only supports Global viewing mode, to get a Global Scene to output in Web Mercator you'll need to add that tile package to a basemap and then add the basemap to the scene. When you run the tool it will set the output scene coordinate system to Web Mercator. Basemap and elevation layers—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop Basemaps—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop Let me know if you run into any other problems! thanks, Andrew

Hi Robert, Which version of portal are you using. Also, who is the 3rd party vendor? In terms of the report, as long as you don't see any errors it should still publish and display. Since warnings are only listed above it should still publish. One thing you can try is to upgrade the scene layer package to version 1.7. We have a converter that will do that and you can find it here i3s-spec/i3s_converter at master · Esri/i3s-spec · GitHub Please let me know if you run into any problems. thanks, Andrew
