Well for the way that your doing it I would almost create a new field that would contain the URL, I don't know the web part that your looking at so I can't say much there but if the Shapefile has its attributes shared via a List than you should be able to access that in a Web Part

Yeah I must admit I am getting frustrated, I don't feel like I have even came close to scratching the surface of what GEP can do and it seems to be fighting back. So, I am curious about the Versioned data being mentioned as not being supported, and I don't exactly need it to be versioned .... as far as I know. So I have started putting these in there own services and attempting to unregister and we'll start anew from there. Another thing I was noticing that the Date time is not dead on all the time it is GMT and that is Correct, nut I just have a funny feeling on how I am doing these in C# We have discussed the spatial indexes to cranking up the max allowable instances and feel like I am not getting anywhere. I will keep plugging away I bet it's something easy and sill like usual LOL thanks though I will still continue to pick your brain if that's alright though

... well not entirely--yet. I know I am not the only one out there that is feeling the invasion of iOS. I must admit I have tried and tried to steer clear of the iOS tidal wave, but that's a little difficult when your shop has made exceptions and the end users are practically screaming for Ipad's. I have started to take the plunge and must admit it's not as scary as I thought--feeling pretty good, but I would like a little bit more meat and more of a transposition of .Net to iOS instead of baby steps for beginning developers. Any one else that has come from the .Net world and feel like sharing some resources on how to get up to par? I know Jeff Jackson does .Net and now focuses on iOS any suggestions?

I would also check the maps set minimum extent ... even with the basemaps you sometime have to adjust this to ensure the users have a decent experience

Hmmm Alright I will give that a shot, is there location that I can find this in the documentation?? I kinda of feel that with a lot of the hacks that were looking to put in just for GEP were sacrificing a lot of with AGS, I am starting to think that people doing metadata are going to hate GEP....

Actually Everything is Versioned, I had noticed in the demos/Dev Summit Discussions I had not seen any versioned data in use and was suspect to think that this may be something to root out
