Sorry, I do not have the .mtl files. Maybe you could just apply a color instead?

Here is Matt's code, but it was written a while ago for a much older version of CityEngine, so it comes with a warning that it might not work anymore.

Sorry, the last post was incorrect. In CityEngine 2016.0, the object attributes are not exported. We are currently working on exporting reports for 2016.1 which will allow you to put object attribute information in popups.

Would you mind sharing your scene file and rule file so that we could take a closer look at it?

Yes, there might be a slight bug with the classification of horizontal and vertical trim planes on the top and bottom faces after a comp. We are investigating it. If you want all the trim planes, set the horizontal ones to true as well.

As another workaround, if you really want a slider type tool, you could also make a handle for the attribute.

This error usually occurs when trying to import data into a scene that already has a coordinate system set that is far away from the osm data's location. Try dragging it into a new scene. This worked for me.

I wasn't able to reproduce the cut primitives as they look in your image. However, I have a feeling that the primitives are being cut by trim planes though. You can turn the trim planes off, and maybe this will prevent the primitives from being cut: set(trim.vertical, false) As for preventing overhanging cubes, if you offset by -0.5*width and use a uniform scatter, this should give you a uniform placement without cubes that hang off the roof. I'm not sure what you mean when you say using the offset makes your objects centered on the roof. Yes, they make the objects more centered, but if they weren't more centered, they'd be overhanging. Lot --> offset(-0.5*width, inside) scatter(surface, 10, uniform) { Point } Point --> primitiveCube(width, width, width)

Wireframe is usually black (unless you change it in the preferences). I think the gray outlines are there because they are the faces of the shape(s) you made. I would suggest applying a rule file, which could be as simple as just coloring the shape green such as Shape --> color(0,1,0), to the shapes and then hiding the shapes.

For terrain, set the Wireframe Alpha (in the Inspector) for the terrain layer to 0. Or for models, turn off the wireframe on models in the Settings drop down in the Viewport (keyboard shortcut 7).

Yes, CityEngine 2016.0 is needed for the new export format. I know that you do not need an AGOL organization account (any account is ok) to create web scenes. However, I'm not sure what is needed to create story maps.
