At this release, add-ins are only supported in the Windows version of the app. We are working to bring them to the browser version as well. As part of that work, we are looking at solutions that would allow a single add-in to work in both the Windows and browser versions.

Hi Tim -- You can now view and monitor an operation view in the browser. This is limited to single display operation views. Creating and editing operation views is still done in the Windows app.

Collector v10.2 was released November 2013, so there is no beta program for it. You can get the released version from app stores, or the links on http://doc.arcgis.com/en/collector/. If you are really interested in Collector 10.2.2, which is coming out in March and was blogged about here, there isn't currently a beta program, but thanks for your interest!

The 30 day trial is a trial account for an ArcGIS organization. It is not something you need to download. To use your 30 day trial account in Operations Dashboard, you will need to download Operations Dashboard (the regular version, there isn't a special trial one). You can download it from here: http://doc.arcgis.com/en/operations-dashboard/ Once you have installed it, you can use your 30 day trial account to log in and try out the app.

When you create your map you can set if each field is editable or not. Then when you use the map in Collector, only those fields you specified as editable can be edited. For details on setting if a field is editable or not, see http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/arcgisonline/index.html#/Configure_pop_ups/010q0000004m000000/.

I can see the issue when using your data. It doesn't appear to be a Dashboard issue, as I get the same results running the query through your data's REST endpoint. I'll see if I can get more info about why that is happening.

I'm not able to repro this issue so far. Could you share your operation view and services with me (kylie_org) and I will take a look? The easiest way is to create a group, invite kylie_org to it, and share the items with the group.

To open your OperationsDashboard.exe.config file, run Operations Dashboard, and while it is running open Task Manager. In Task Manager, find OperationsDashboard (if you are on Windows 7, you need to find it in the Processes tab; on Windows 8 you can use the applications tab), right-click on it, and select �??Open File Location.�?� When that folder opens, you will see an OperationsDashboard.exe.config file. You can open that file in a text editor.

There are two different accounts that you can get for no cost. One is a public account. Public accounts are not supported in Collector. The other is a 30-day free trial of an ArcGIS subscription. Those are supported with Collector. You will need to set up your organization, and then you will be able to log in with the account tied to that 30-day trial. By set up your organization, it is not paying for it. When you create the free trial you will get email that explains what you need to do.

While the look and feel of the page has changed, the contents are still there. Now, instead of a more nested table of contents, there are two tables of contents: one for the author of a map, the other for the user of the app. On the page you are redirected to, http://doc.arcgis.com/en/collector/, see the help content by clicking on the "Create maps" or "Collect data" tabs in the blue bar along the top.
