I think a workaround is to add a hidden question in the survey to store the list, using the join() function. Put something like this in the calculation: join (",",${name_label})

Hi Telmo, Sorry I can't think of any other reason causing this. For me, using the example in Survey123 Connect and the coordinates you provided, the geopoint question in Survey123 web form zooms into the right location with populated values in the coordinate textboxes. I suggest republishing the survey using the latest version of Survey123 Connect, if still not fixed, please contact your local Esri distributor or Esri Support.

Hi Telmo, One thing I think would cause this is the decimal separator. Some languages use decimal comma instead of decimal point. If you normally use decimal comma, perhaps you can try and change the decimal point to decimal comma in the choice list?

Hi Telmo, Am I correct that your geopoint question is now receiving the correct coordinates, and the pin is at the correct location, but the map is just not zoom into that location? Are you seeing this behaviour in Survey123 Connect? I found some discussions regarding the map doesn't zoom into the location, the only recommendation is to publish from the latest version of Survey123 Connect. I am not sure which text box inside the geopoint element you are referring to, is it the search? I don't think that will be populated with the name of the location so it would be blank.

Hi Telmo, Cascading select is not required for the first example. All you need is the concat() statement to state the geometry for the geopoint question. In the screenshot below I removed the continent question and the choice_filter associates with it, so user will only select from a list of cities. Perhaps you just need an edited concat() statement for your geometry values. Would you mind sharing an example of your choice list?

Hi Telmo, You can find 2 examples of populating the geopoint question from the Survey123 Connect's samples. Base on your description I would suggest the 'Calculate Location from CSV' method.

Hi MJ, Thanks a lot for your help and the video instruction. I figured out that, when adding fields to the child repeat of the nested repeat, a new field needs to be added to the parent repeat in addition to the new field added outside of the repeat. Cheers.

Hi MJ, I've tried adding the dummy questions outside of the repeat both before and after the repeat section, but still experiencing this issue. I am using nested repeats. Do you think there would be other causes of this issue? Manually adding fields to AGOL layer is what we are trying to avoid. Thank you.

Hi James, I wonder if you have identified the issue causing this error. I am having the exact same problem and getting the same error message. The only difference is, this happens when I add new fields to the repeat. I know the limitation of updating repeat, so I've added another text question outside of the repeat as well. The republishing hang at the same place as Jennifer described, and I can also find the text question field got created in the feature service, but the ones in the repeat never got created. This problem happens on a number of different surveys.

Hi, I think you can use 'or' to group a number of selected() functions. Something like this: selected(${activitysub},'411') or selected(${activitysub},'425') Cheers, Sun

Hi, My understanding of your workflow is that, if user answer the question {activitysub} (no matter what they select), then display a geopoint and a geotrace question. If that's the case, I would suggest using a relevant statement to monitor whether the question {activitysub} has been answered. Something like this: string-length(${activitysub})>0 See here: https://community.esri.com/thread/187267-can-relevant-field-be-dependent-on-if-condition-is-not-null Then you only need one geopoint and one geotrace question for this. *Sorry my previous answer (before editing) was based on a misunderstanding of your workflow. Cheers, Sun

Hi Rylee, Here’s a similar method that I would like to add to Doug’s solution. Instead of making the top question ‘read-only’, we can take advantage of Repeat’s behaviour – it will ask to confirm before deleting the record. This is what I do – this example survey only show user the repeat_1 section when the answer to Question 1 is ‘Yes’. User can always change their mind to select ‘No’ for Question 1 and answer the questions in another Repeat section related to ‘No’. Step 1 – Survey opened. Step 2 – Select ‘Yes’ for Question 1, the Repeat section appears. Step 3 – Answer any question in the Repeat section then select ‘No’ for Question 1. The survey will ask to confirm before deleting the records. However, this method has one tiny bug. In step 4 – after selecting ‘No’ for Question 1, if user change their mind and once again select ‘Yes’ for Question 1, the Repeat section related to ‘Yes’ does not appear. User will then need to select ‘No’ again then ‘Yes’ to enable the Repeat section. This scenario is rare unless users keep changing their mind. This bug has been submitted to Support. Thanks to Gee Fernando for this method. Cheers, Sun

Hi Whitney, Maybe try something like this? I just use a 'calculate' question to simulate your pulldata operation, what I want to show is in the M3 cell. Concat() would solve many unexpected behaviours of the calculation field when using Survey123 Web. Cheers, Sun

Hi Lisa, I would also suggest the pulldata() function like Zach mentioned. One thing I would add is to put the calculation statement in the 'calculation' column instead of the 'default' column for it to work. Cheers, Sun
