Have you tried creating a table view with a selection expression first? Seems like that would be a more efficient way to about it anyway, as you could then do a join to your original table (assuming you  have a join item saved when you were appending the polygons to your output) and use Calculate Value to copy over the data. Darren is correct; you can't use the "!field!" syntax inside the function. And Bruce too... Here's my solution. This would work with either numeric or text fields. I like to use only one "return" (for readability). Figured it out, need to save it to a Personal Geodatabase to avoid truncating. Yes, shapefiles are weak. I really don't understand what I am doing wrong... any advice welcome 🙂 Make sure your parameter definitions match what you were using for your model. For example, it looks like (from the defaults) that your first argument was a feature layer, not a feature dataset.  A way to check this is to open the source model, right click the parameters, and see what data type they are. I separate entities for a specific attribute, but I want to do it in bulk and not having to export each selection. There any tools or code you can use python ? I do suggest not hardcoding the path. Here's how you do that: # Set the spatial reference variable prjHome = arcpy.GetInstallInfo()["InstallDir"] cs = prjHome + "/Coordinate Systems/Geographic Coordinate Systems/World/WGS 1984.prj" Also, note that you may have to supply a transformation for the Project run to work if the datums are different. The best way to find matches is to run the tool interactively between the two coordinate systems - the popup will give you a choice of transformations to use. OK, I removed the raster calculator functions from the script.  According to the literature I can use raster calculator like expression (+,-,/...) as long as I cast the raster as 'rasters'.  I can get something like the below to work without error, but I cant get passed 'numerator' in the code below without getting the cell size and extent not set error. Both you and the parser will have a better chance of getting it right (or at least isolate the issues)  if you break this up into smaller chunks. x1 =treeRootStrength + soilCohesion x2 = Square(Cos(degreesSlope)) * treeSurcharge + moistSoilUnitWeight * (totalSoilThickness - saturatedSoilThickness) ...
