I have a Dashboard created from a Web map. One of the layers changed in the Web map and now I need to reflect that same change and either edit or build a new widget from that new data source. Is this possible, or do I have to rebuild a whole new Dashboard now that I have changed or added a layer?

I have now updated all of my web dashboards updated so my users can open them after the last patch. Now I have a user that pointed out that when trying to open a dashboard on an iPhone 7 in Safari they get this error: Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS Error need Safari 5.1, Chrome or firefox One of my people here also has an iPhone 7 so we tested to see and we received the same error that the user in the field received. Because the 7 is a fairly new phone (really not an Apple guy myself) it should have a recent browser version on it. I have been able to access the dashboard on any other Apple device I have tried. Anyone else having this issue with iPhone 7s and Web Dashboards?

Today all of a sudden I have users telling me they are getting this message and sure enough I am getting it as well. Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS This dashboard item was created using an earlier version of the beta application. Delete this dashboard item, and recreate it. I have between 12 and 15 dashboards I now have to recreate for customers who all of a sudden have no view on assets in real time? Did I miss the heads up? This is more than frustrating.

Not sure if anyone else is having this issue but it has been trouble for us now that we are using the Web Version of the Ops Dashboard. In IE 11 when you try and launch into a Dashboard you get an additional login page. Because we are using an Enterprise Account we click that button. Next, you get this screen which when you type in your account URL into the box you should be able to hit continue but on IE11 it doesn't let you click continue. all other browsers we have tried this works. Chrome, Firefox, and Safari so far. Anyway, we have a workaround by using another browser but many of the companies we work with and who we give access to are Microsoft primary or only. So when we have to get users to talk to their IT resource and ask them to install another browser it can be a bit of a problem at times.

Thank you Xiaolong, I will take a look. It is always good to learn more about visualization and different ways to handle important data to get the most out of the story you are trying to tell. Update, I did this and added to the map and it really helps a great deal! Thanks again.

Aaron, Thanks for the reply. Yes, that shows me Dashboards that have already been created. However, I used to be able to create them from a layer created with the Desktop Dashboard application. I would create the Dashboard, Save it and then from the save I would have 3 options, Open in Windows App, Create Dashboard (Beta), and Share. Now I don't have the ability to create a Web Dashboard from the Desktop created file. So it used to look like this. and now it looks like this So what do I need to do to be able to create a dashboard for web use?

With this latest update, the ability to create a Web Dashboard (beta) has disappeared from my AGOL controls. I need to finish off a build I just did for someone and now I can't seem to do that. Did they kill the beta and or ability to create web dashboards?

In the end, I was able to get something I could use by employing the Analysis>Analyze Patterns>Find Hot Spots tool vs the 2 layers. This allowed me to only show the points within the boundary of the World Countries layer I had added to the map. I tried several visualizations and liked this one the best of them all.

Jayanta, Thanks for taking the time to respond. My problem is that I don't have ArcGIS for Desktop and didn't want to install it unless there was no other way to do this. It seems though that I may be forced to if there is no way to do it in AGOL on it's own.

I have a large list of point data and I am attempting to show only what falls within a another layer of polygons (Country Boundaries). I would be happy with it creating it's own 3rd layer or just being able to create a filter view of some type that only shows points in the polygon. Is this possible? even with all the data analysis tools I can't do something that I would think should be pretty simple to do? Thanks for any help provided!

Adam, I get the gist of a lot of what you are saying. We run into a similar problem with tracking transceivers when one is changed or a new one is added to the system. It's going to take me a while to digest this and I will need to talk to my provider on this as well because they are more on the technical side. I appreciate you posting this as it will help quite a bit. I will surely get back in touch with you if I can't figure it out! Thanks again for your time on this and the help you have provided! Have a Great Holiday Weekend. James

Adam, Thanks for responding. The feed is showing as a FeatureServer layer? It's an Iridium feed being fed into our service provider that I can pull in to a web map. I'm still a bit new at this so not sure if that answers your question or not. I am doing everything via AGOL and maybe that is limiting what I can do to a point, not sure. I like your multiple icons by status by the way. I need to learn how to do that. I added the layer by searching for it. It is part of our current list of layers being provided to us for our Aircraft Positions. So it resides on their server. Ok so here is the odd part of this which I discovered with some help after I posted the first message. I can take the file that was created when I used the Desktop Ops Dashboard and use the Create Dashboard (Beta) button from the information page I get exactly what I need and the icons again rotate with Heading. It creates another file which opens to the web dashboard. A bit hard to see but the icons are rotated correctly. So at this point, I think I have solved my issue however it appears that if I want more configuration options I need to look into getting ArcGIS Desktop and start from there?
