When will Android two finger (pinch) be supported for zoom? Can you give us an update. Will this be for ICS (Android 4) only? I believe Multi-Touch Javascript support started in Android 3. For 2.3.x devices, there are two solutions surfaced recently that simulate javascript event in native web view. See this for details: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=11909

1) Is it possible to modify the app to use arcgis.com rest API directly on client side without using the proxy.ashx? Our web server does not have internet access. 2) Any chance of adding a sign in link to allow arcgisonline for organizational users see a different list in the gallery than public(not signed in), depending on individual item's share level?

Question was answered in a different thread. Your map server's output directory is using host name, not a public domain name. The extension uses json output directory, that's why you are not seeing the image. The more recent JS API (and service directory) use direct image output thus hide the problem in the G extension.

Change your arcgisoutput virtual directory to use a publicly accessible domain name, not http://ushodweb06/arcgisoutput/ Do that in ArcCatalog or manager.

Do you have your own google key? Simply replace map service URL to yours won't work because the sample's key is registered with Esri's domain. If you do not have an existing key you may out of luck because Google may no longer issue keys for v2 API (deprecated for 2+ years now). You should really avoid this approach and look for alternatives.

if i don't fill in the third attribute. You should put "null' in the third attribute, not shuffle positions and put 4th parameter into the position of 3rd. You are telling the code to find a field name that is your delimiter.

Hi Forum, I was hoping to be able to obtain an array from the TOC widget and feed that to my identify task You do not need the TOC to tell you which layer is visible. For service level layer, you should be using Layer.visible. For layers underneath a dynamic map service, use ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer.visibleLayers.

My question is: do i need a Google maps license to use google maps tiles in my web application Simple answer is if you run your app in Intranet or https then yes you need to get the enterprise license, if it is public facing then you can use the free license but with transaction limit and subject to potential (future) advertisement. Ask your lawyer to review google's most recent "term of use" to be sure.

There is an arcgis data server produce that does not require SDE. It serves SQL 2008 geometry directly. If you do not mind writing code, check out the sql server 2008 add on package which include the .NET library for spatial type.

Apparently there are interest there, and Esri may not be able to pull enough resource together to do this anytime soon (considering original version has been unchanged for quite a few years), I was wondering if there is enough commitment from user community to produce one? There are a couple approaches, such as upgrade from the original JS version, or start from one of the simpler templates on arcgis.com and evolve that into something equivalent to the counterparts in sliverlight or flex. The current arcgis.com is quite good at authoring, but kind of missing the capability to customization, and the those customizable templates are not as comprehensive as the flex/silverlight viewers. Pre-defined query/search etc are completely missing(think the deprecated Web ADF), so there are lots of work, but I think the user community can pull it off with collective effort. Thoughts?

Derek, I'm don't think I can add the attribute information to a feature layer from the array, can I? You can create a feature layer using "featureCollection". http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapi/javascript/arcgis/demos/fl/fl_featureCollection.html It works with Legend. Make sure all async callbacks are in right order.

Yes I do have Sp3 and the "ArcGIS 10.0 SP3 (Desktop, Engine, Server) Geocoding General Maintenance Patch " installed. In fact I am a little bit suspicious one of them actually caused some other problem, because the new %ArcGIS%\Locators\USAddress.lot.xml template shows version 10.1 (revision 91 as of 09/08/2011), which is ahead of other templates as well as ArcGIS itself. The field you listed is one of the combinations I tried. My ideal configuration is actually to use a pre-joined spatial view as primary because I want to take advantage of the "user_fld", which is a derived column out of the tax table. I have also tried use objectid to join the alternative table because the view was produced out of same objectid column. Anyway, it's not a huge deal because all those record would have same location coordinates. It's just nice to know that there are multiple tax records on the same location immediately from the locator result.
