OK glad clearing the cache fixed the problem with the excessive drawing popup. Your machine should be more than capable of running Voxel layers, so I'm at a loss at what could be wrong there. One thing to check is that you're using DirectX in display options - early releases that supported Voxel layerse didn't work with OpenGL - the Scene Layers team has fixed that in 2.7. Additionally the upcoming 2.8 release has some fixes for layout display of Voxel layers, and some were back-ported to 2.7.2, so make sure you're on the latest release to pick up these changes.

@Anonymous User if you could share your project (package it from share tab of ribbon->Project Package) with me so I could evaluate the adaptive compression issue you noted, that would be super awesome. Adaptive attempts to determine the best compression type from the type of image object being compressed - if it looks bad that may mean our heuristic for picking compression type might need to be adjusted. I can DM you separately to work out file transfer details. In any event I'm glad Export As Image is working OK for you! We'll continue to work on these items during the release following 2.8 as well - I have a few issues already on the plan there too.

I got Marc's data and was unable to repro, but from my communication with him it was a hardware- or driver- specific issue with his GPU. What are the hardware specs on your machine? You can use https://links.esri.com/run-arcgis-pro and take a screenshot of the readout and paste it here.

Andrea, We've made lots of changes in the recent releases to help users with this problem, but one that was added a few releases ago is "output as image". If your map contains lots of vector data, you might get better filesizes by using the "output as image" option in ArcGIS Pro, which will force flattening of vector layers similar to the "optimize pdf" option in Adobe Acrobat. lastly we fixed an outstanding issue regarding masking layers causing bloat in filesize in PDF exports in the upcoming 2.8 release (in beta now). Can you give "output as image" a try and let us know if that resolves the problem for you on a current version of Pro? Regards, Jeremy W.

Hi Marc, My team owns this functionality - the warning occurs when you exceed certain counters in the graphics system. This metric varies based on reported capabilities of the GPU. If your GPU is not showing as highly utilized in Task Manager, you may have run into a bug specific to your GPU/Driver. Your screenshot doesn't show make/model nor driver version, so the first thing to try might be to update the driver to newer version. Troubleshooting tips are available in the help - which is linked if you click on the warning as well, things like threducing draw distance and lowering rendering quality might help you display the data. Any chance you can share with us your repro data? I can provide an ad-hoc file transfer account to use for transferring the data, or you can work with Support to report this as a bug and they can collect the data from you. If you want to experiment, you can also try converting to scene layer using "Create 3D Object SCene Layer" tool, add the SLPK as a layer. Regards, Jeremy W.

The short answer is that there are no "inches" in this scenario - there's no page to which you're writing the image. For your use case if you want more pixels (resulting in a higher resolution image), you can request more pixels either by using the spinners or by typing in a higher number. If you leave the lock engaged, the aspect ratio will remain the same even if you change the number in one or the other dimension.

Hello All! To provide some clarity in this conversation: 1. we are aware of this issue. It's logged as BUG-000111662 2. Our developer team was able to determine the root cause of the problem, and provided a fix for this in the current development codebase. 3. This fix is slated to be available in the next (2.7) release of ArcGIS Pro - it is not yet publicly available unless you are an early adopter/beta user. Regards, Jeremy W.

This artifact is known - it is a line created by the reader (it's not actually a line in the PDF). We reported this to Adobe some time ago, they promised a fix in the next update of Adobe Reader/Acrobat. Some users have found that using "Export As Image" option in Pro alleviates this issue.

I took a look, it might be an issue with the raster pyramids involved, I'll get the appropriate developers to take a look. thanks for reporting! Just in case you haven't found the workaround yet: strangely I found that doing the whole export at different DPI and raster resample settings will cause it to work properly vs. showing corrupt results. I had good success with 1200dpi, best quality.

Hi Brian, We must display lower resolution content for tiles of elevation and data that are further from the camera in 3d views to avoid excessive resource consumption. The effect you're seeing is a side-effect of using "screen sized" (size in points) lines in a 3d view - when the lower-resolution tiles are displayed the lines appear to be larger (since pixels are larger). ArcGlobe does this as well. ArcScene does not show any LODs since it's a single-LOD system. That said, we've made tweaks to this in recent releases, and you'll see another in 2.6 release that attempts to maintain same LOD for nearer tiles in an effort to avoid the negative visual effect of this transition. Hopefully this will help to your artifacts. If you are still having this trouble at 2.6, please let me know here and we can get in contact to get more information. Regards, Jeremy W.

Michael, One thing you could try is using the 2.0 beta version of Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud extension (Beta available for download from ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud 2.0.0-beta) - if you export from Pro 2.5 to AIX, then your text should be editable when the AIX is opened in Maps for Creative Cloud/Illustrator. The existing BUG is still opened as we are still attempting to find a way to retain positional accuracy for text properties and get editability too. Regards, Jeremy W.

Thomas, the lines issue is an artifact in the PDF reader's display caused by partially transparent raster content (the heat map in this case). We are in contact with Adobe about this. From your testing, core export from UI is working as designed, so Jeff is investigating this from the API standpoint now.

and you are getting the washed out appearance from both UI and from API, or only from API? Sorry all the questions - this is probably better addressed via a tech support call but I'm invested now .
