The St. Johns County, FL Public Works Department plays a crucial role in supporting infrastructure and services that residents rely on daily. A key part of this is the Fleet Management Division, which manages and repairs over 1,200 pieces of equipment, including trucks, ATVs, bookmobiles, and fire engines. With such a large and diverse fleet, it is crucial to track and manage assets to ensure high-quality service, enhance safety, and lower operational costs. To accomplish this, St. Johns County has implemented advanced technology to improve fleet management operations. While the American Public Works Association (APWA) can trace the history of their annual conference back to 1894, it has been known as the Public Works Expo (PWX) since 2016.
