Return on Investment, commonly abbreviated as ROI, is an important goal for any GIS project that should be calculated, documented, and shared. I put this StoryMap together to share information and examples of GIS ROI. It includes many real world examples, articles, videos and additional resources to help you find the ROI in your GIS work. https://government.bd.esri.com/portal/apps/MapJournal/index.html?appid=bc2932e29943405bbec95dbea3992a85

Brian: Thanks for the shout out. Here are some ideas: You should check into ArcGIS Monitor, it may provide you with the capabilities you are looking for: https://www.esri.com/en-us/arcgis/products/arcgis-monitor/overview Attached is an example of an ArcGIS Operations Dashboard deployed by Johnson City, TN that shows statistics from their GIS. This may be what you are looking for. If so, we can connect you with them. Here is a link to a Story Map from Kenton Co., KY on their integration of ArcGIS and OpenGov to track their work: https://arcg.is/0HXauL I understand your need to show value, I think GDB statistics are good, but that’s hard for an executive to understand. Just because you’re busy, doesn’t mean you are providing value. I would suggest focusing on some real, tangible ROI numbers. Check out this presentation from Wade Kloos on GIS ROI: https://youtu.be/Mne2U9bFVVA Think about sharing your stories of success on social media (Twitter, LinkedIn) or using a blog like Kenton Co., KY does: https://linkgis.org/ or as part of an open data web site like this one from Lake Co., FL: https://geohub-lcgis.opendata.arcgis.com/pages/gis-case-studies You should also at least once a year present to the leaders in your organization on your annual accomplishments and the plans for next year. Some of our users do this using a Story Map. I hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I may do to assist.
