Please try this: dojo.connect(print, "onPrintStart", function(){ this.templates[0].layoutOptions.titleText = "Hello Map"; }); The array index number is the one in your templates which has the titleText. In your case, just put 0 there since you only have one template. Hope this helps.

OK. This is a print service limit. It will support webTiledLayer in the future.

Please check the print request in your browser's debug tool. I believe the request includes the custom TiledMapServiceLayer or WebTiledLayer. Then, it's the print service that doesn't work with your tiled map service. Please post the print request here. I will try to diagnose it. Thanks. I was successful with redefining TiledMapServiceLayer to WebTileLayer, but outcome is the same. This layer wont show up on the outprint. It is a pain... like being shot by dum-dum bullet. Please try webTiledLayer, instead of a custom TiledLayer.

There is no hardcoded path in measurement widget. If you didn't see the icons, please try to set it in the CSS and let me know if it works. .distanceIcon { background-image:url(./Measure_Distance16.png); //your image url } But this shouldn't cause the error that you described.

Mike, For your case, the reason is the map service is not accessible by the print service. Please make sure the map service is public accessible if the print service is not an internal service. I'm getting the same error message when trying to make a request directly from the REST endpoint, so no proxy involved, right? Get the error even when I'm remoted in to the machine where Server resides. Any thoughts appreciated. Mike

If your web application and print service will be on the same domain, then, proxy is not necessary.

Yes, you need proxy. Please see details here: http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/77128-Export-Web-Map-Task-Error-unable-to-connect-to-map-server-only-at-the-first-time?p=272014&viewfull=1#post272014 First of all, it doesn't matter where you host the JS API. What matters is where you host your web application and your print service. If both are under the same domain, proxy page is not necessary. If they are different, then it requires proxy. As simple as that.

I'm not sure about your use case. It seems not necessary. If you want to move the end of the line with the point, just move the point and make the line end snapping to the point.

Nita, When we say a location is Longitude: -85.74, Latitude: 38.25, which means it's a point offset from Longitude: 0, Latitude: 0 on a sphere/ellipsoid (earth) surface under geographic coordinate system. If you want to use meters as unit, that means you want to represent the location in a 2D projected coordiante system from an origin point. Without projection information, it doesn't have a meaningful location x, y values. What I'm trying to say is you would like to show a meaningful location here. Back to your question, you can use the following code snippet to show the x, y values under current projection of your map.
dojo.connect(measurement, "onMeasureEnd", function(toolName, geometry){
if (toolName === "location") {
measurement.resultValue.domNode.innerHTML = "x: "+ geometry.x + "<br/>y: " + geometry.y;
}
});

In your case, the input is too long to fit into HTTP GET request. So it has to use POST. In this case, it needs a proxy. Not so sure how you can use meters to represent location. It means it offsets from an origin point?
