I'm attempting to use the Map and App Gallery Template with SSL. It hangs when I alter all the proxy addresses in the code from http to https. Any ideas on why this would be? All the other esri urls work with either http or https

Have you tried the 'Parcel Viewer' app template that comes with ArcGIS Online? It appears to have the ability for you to point it to a layer which you can then search on the attribute values. Yes, but like I said in my OP, that template doesn't have other widgets that we need, namely: legend, layer toggle, printing. Seems as though there isn't an out of the box template that has everything available.

We recently purchased a subscription and need to add the ability to search through our content for records (parcels, zoning, land use, etc). I have experience building custom applications with the Javascript API, however, when I download the basic viewer code, it seems set up quite differently than what I'm used to on the Javascript API side. Is there a how to or documentation or anything that could help me to add this functionality to the basic viewer? I know the Parcel Viewer template allows this, but with that template you lose all of the other widgets (alternatively, if we could add legend and layer toggle to the Parcel Viewer Template, that would be great). Thanks.

I would love if the AGOL Basic Viewer had the overall design of the Parcel Viewer Template. Notably, the following enhancements: - Make the template full screen - Add the ability to search by specific layers/fields as well as address - Add Direction widget

Thanks Mike, I ran my config through JSLINT and it is clean. My parks service is running and I have made it a feature service (another difference between the new and old versions). The other difference I noticed is that the old version the attributes were referenced like: "FacilitySitePoint.NAME" whereas now they are: "${NAME}" Not sure if that is an issue that would cause my popups not to populate though.

I'm trying to upgrade to the newest version of the Parks and Recreation Finder Application. There seem to be some fairly substantial changes in how the config file is to be completed vs how it was in the previous versions. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but after pointing the config data to my own services, I can't seem to be able to search for anything or populate a pop up. The loading icon just continues to restart. I've checked the help but it is still referencing the old config.txt file not the new config.js file, so I'm not exactly sure what or where to go from here.

Set up a function in your javascript that does something like this: function zoomExtent() { map.setExtent(startExtent); //here set your extent you wish to zoom back to, either calling the xmin, ymin, xmax, ymax or by calling the original extent variable } then in your html set up an onclick event:  <div id="zoom" title="Zoom to Full Extent" ;> <img src="images/zoom.png" onClick="zoomExtent();"> </div> You'll then use some CSS to position it wherever you want

I have created a series of map templates for one of our departments that each have an associated model. As part of the model I also created a lyr file for symbology and labeling (the subject parcel layer portion). [ATTACH=CONFIG]23705[/ATTACH] This is referenced in the output feature properties of my model. [ATTACH=CONFIG]23706[/ATTACH] The tool runs correctly and the Subject Parcel_layer gets added to the map template. The overall symbology from the layer file is correct, however, the labeling preferences I've set up are not (font size, type, etc.). As a side note, the Subject Parcel Layer does not exist in the template, it gets added through the model. Any ideas on why the labeling portion is not being honored?

I am doing a very simple modification to the default editor sample whereas I have simply inserted my feature service and adjusted the extent. When I try to add a feature I am getting the following error in firebug: {"error":{"code":400,"message":"Unable to complete operation.","details":["Unable to perform applyEdits operation."]}} I have checked and everything is running properly through the proxy. Any ideas why I could be getting this error? When I attempt to add a point the progress bar runs but then the point does not add and the error appears in firebug.

If you have your attachments saved in a folder on your server and the file names are somehow tied to a field in your database you could do something like what I did for a previous app in your popup code: "<b>Control Station:</b> <a target='_blank' href=http://pathto/attachments/scans/${Corner Point Identifier}.pdf>${Corner Point Identifier}</a>" where {Corner Point Identifier} was the name field in my data and also the name of my attachment. We've since changed to use something similar to the sample that was given to you in the posts above. We created a relationship table with attachments. The popup supports multiple attachments, however, they are given as a link and not as a slideshow of images, as I think you are requesting.
