I have to agree. Viewing popups for WMS services would be a great enhancement. PLEASE consider including this functionality!!..

Hello Robert, I am using your Identify widget ( and it's sweet BTW!) and i want to return all the fields available in my feature attribute table. i have dozens of features and dozens of fields. Is there a wild card of some sort i could place in the <fields> bracket to accomplish this or do i have to input all the fieldnames into this line? Thanks for sharing all your hard work with these widgets. I have used several of yours and i am very grateful! Gerald

I am having the same problem and am in need of an immediate fix. Is there a work around for this issue? I do not need a basemap to be shown, I just need to be able to zoom into the vector data added to the project. Are there other basemaps available that can be used? If I create my own image service with high resolution aerials we had flown, will this work? Also, does anyone know if the extralods widget found in the following forum will work? http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/13636-Flex-Viewer-2.1-Increase-maximum-zoom Just put this into your Config.xml file under your widgets..this will give you 1 more level of zoom detail </operationallayers> <lods> <lod scale="591657527.591555" resolution="156543.03392800014"/> <lod scale="295828763.79577702" resolution="78271.516963999937"/> <lod scale="147914381.89788899" resolution="39135.758482000092"/> <lod scale="73957190.948944002" resolution="19567.879240999919"/> <lod scale="36978595.474472001" resolution="9783.9396204999593"/> <lod scale="18489297.737236001" resolution="4891.9698102499797"/> <lod scale="9244648.8686180003" resolution="2445.9849051249898"/> <lod scale="4622324.4343090001" resolution="1222.9924525624949"/> <lod scale="2311162.2171550002" resolution="611.49622628137968"/> <lod scale="1155581.108577" resolution="305.74811314055756"/> <lod scale="577790.55428899999" resolution="152.87405657041106"/> <lod scale="288895.27714399999" resolution="76.437028285073239"/> <lod scale="144447.638572" resolution="38.21851414253662"/> <lod scale="72223.819285999998" resolution="19.10925707126831"/> <lod scale="36111.909642999999" resolution="9.5546285356341549"/> <lod scale="18055.954822" resolution="4.7773142679493699"/> <lod scale="9027.9774109999998" resolution="2.3886571339746849"/> <lod scale="4513.9887049999998" resolution="1.1943285668550503"/> <lod scale="2256.994353" resolution="0.59716428355981721"/> <lod scale="1128.4971760000001" resolution="0.29858214164761665"/> <lod scale="564.248588" resolution="0.1492910703125"/> </lods> </map>

Molly, Sounds like you are experiencing the sleeping map service syndrome. What version of ArcGIS Server are you using including service pack? Thats pretty dang funny. you hit the naik on the head with "sleeping map service syndrome". thats exactly what i have been experiencing. that happens to me also. its not every day and its not with every service. Seems like it happens more with my dynamic services than cached ones.

im an old IMS'er and i dont think there's an easy way to just convert ArcIMS axl's to ArcGIS mxd's. you'll have to create a basemap (msd) and then create your individual layers as (msd) services. might as well start all over in ArcGIS world.

Eric, I was having the same problems with the query widget (error code #1009). i read an earlier answer from Robert S explaining the need to have at least the OBJECTID and shape field checked visible, when you publish your MXD (or MSD). when i did that and republished, all was fixed. dont know if this is the answer for you but its worth a shot anyway..
