To my knowledge, a hosting server is not required for publishing services. https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/server/latest/manage-data/linux/registering-your-data-with-arcgis-server-using-manager.htm Hosting server is required if you want to upload data through Portal.

Sign in to the portal website as an administrator and browse to Organization > Settings > Servers To be hosting, the server should be added to the Portal and be federated: https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/portal/latest/administer/windows/configure-servers.htm Then a federated server may be assigned as hosting: https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/portal/latest/administer/windows/configure-hosting-server-for-portal.htm I presume that if your server is defined as hosting - it will be listed as such on your Portal Organization > Settings > Servers page.

If you have the original MXD's or SD files, you can loop through them with Python and the arcpy module to republish them. You can also loop through your arcgisinput folder to find the MXD's to republish. You'll need to republish manually or via scripting.

Did you upgrade your ArcMap? It seems you have a concurrent license getting license from a license server of an outdated License Manager version. It may be not on your machine, license server can be on another computer. Find and open an ArcGIS Administrator. There you will find a name of a license server machine. It seems you should upgrade your license manager software on your license server. https://desktop.arcgis.com/en/license-manager/10.6/arcgis-administrator.htm https://desktop.arcgis.com/en/license-manager/10.6/arcgis-license-manager.htm https://desktop.arcgis.com/en/license-manager/10.6/concurrent-use.htm

Internal error 500 in most cases connected to credentials. These may be IIS credentials, windows folder credentials etc. For example, look at: https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000025312 It is not exactly the same case but it gives some directions.

Hello, If you have read only access to the ERP SQL server or it's of an outdated version, you can opt for your own dedicated DB server. You can buy an SQL Server license and fetch data from ERP SQL using a linked server, build SSIS packages to replicate relevant data or to use SQL Server replication features. Another money-saving option is to use open source DB like PostGIS to set up an EGDB on a dedicated server, however replicating data from SQL Server to PostGIS may require some more efforts than for an SQL Server. After you have got the data to your server you still can use spatial views etc.

I'd opt for Enterprise GDB on the same SQL server and updating layers by SQL jobs. Another option is to use spatial views joining layers with SQL ERP tables. Doing all the data work at SQL Server IMO is more sustainable solution.

Hello, We have a lot of code developed with WAB Dev. Edition. Now we want to move to Experience while saving the conversion effort. Is there a tool which can (semi) automatically convert from WAB to Experience? Of course, I am aware that fully functional conversion is challenging but such a tool could save me some time. Thanks in advance!

Did you try to stop ArcGIS server service before deleting the feature class? It may lock the DB. Not a service in the Server Manager - the ArcGIS Server Windows service.

https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-enterprise-questions/mosaic-dataset-as-map-service-black-and-white/m-p/613632 @Dvirus wrote: Hi, Attached screenshot is ImageServer service with MosaicSet with 2 rasters in same folder! the top one is SID and Bottom is ECW. As you can see it's displays as checkers (black and white) Any suggestion? https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-enterprise-questions/mosaic-dataset-as-map-service-black-and-white/td-p/613619 As for the black/white checkerboard, this indicates the imagery could not be found by the server. Since it happens when you zoom in, it sounds like the server has access to only the overviews, but not the source imagery. Do you have the source directory registered with the server's data store and did it validate? While we're at it, since you do have the extension, what happens if you publish the mosaic dataset as an image service rather than a map service? Do you still see the issue with image service? From my experience, the checkerboard (I've always called it chessboard :)) look and feel is related to incomplete or incorrectly-created overviews (through no fault of yours). To get around this, I used the Define Overviews GP tool and checked the box for Force Overviews. This option generates overviews for all extents, ignoring raster pyramids of the source data during the process. Try this on a subset of your data that you know has checkerboard issues to verify, but hopefully you'll have good luck with this approach. Alternatively, there could be a difference in pixel depth among your various input source rasters. Check the pixel depth (e.g., 1-bit, 8-bit, 16-bit, etc.) to see if you have a mixture. I found this to be the case at one point in the past; I ended up forgoing the entire mosaic dataset approach and instead going with an unmanaged raster catalog stored in a file geodatabase. You may need a mosaic dataset for your specific workflows, so this may be irrelevant to you. If you don't, consider using an unmanaged raster catalog published as a map service (from an MXD not an MSD if using 10.0) as a workaround rather than a mosaic dataset as part of a map or image service.

Portal distributes data by REST services. You can try to use webservice() Excel function. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/blog/2013/03/21/use-webservice-functions-to-automatically-update-excel-2013-spreadsheets-with-online-data/

The version is defined by two parameters: capacity and functionality. Here's a good explanation by ESRI: https://www.esri.com/content/dam/esrisites/en-us/media/brochures/arcgis-enterprise-functionality-matrix.pdf
