It isn't the "ArcGIS Datastore", it is a stand-alone ArcGIS Server with folders and SQL Server registered as data sources. Esri likes to makes names confusing like by having Data Stores for ArcGIS Sever that can include a product called the ArcGIS Datastore. 🙂

I have a stand-alone ArcGIS Server with numerous registered data stores (SQL Servers) and folders. Some of them are failing validation in the ArcGIS Server Manager. Is there a way to find out why a data store fails validation? I don't see anything in the ArcGIS Server log files (debug mode), but is there any other place to find that information? Would be super helpful to know if a data store fails validation due to insufficient permissions, network path not found, password incorrect, etc.

Do they have identical GPUs? I would think that GPUs would make the biggest difference in processing speed, rather than CPUs or RAM. I doubt internet speed has anything to do with it.

I think the user would have to be logged in with at least a "Viewer" user type because the application needs to know who is trying to make a reservation so it can see which hotels that person is assigned to. The email address is used as the key to tie the occupant layer to the O365 reservation request.

I have a FC with 60+ attribute columns. I want to find out how many (and which) of those columns have never been used - i.e. all rows for that attribute are <null> or empty. Is there a tool that will do that for the whole FC without me having to input each column name? Ideally it would output a report or a table that shows how many records are not populated for each attribute.

100% agree Title should take priority in search results over others, especially over Description.

100% agree, the share level should be transferred, but optionally.

In both ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise we use a combination of custom basemaps and Esri basemaps. For custom basemap we must share them to a group and then designate that group as the basemap gallery group. However, the only options for ordering the maps are: owner, title, date modified and View count. We would like to manually set the order of the basemaps in the gallery and have that order persist. And have the Esri basemaps listed after the items in the local basemap gallery group. We try to order it by date modified descending and then modify the basemap items in order to set the order, but the problem is the Esri basemaps are getting modified all the time so usually within a day the Esri basemaps are jumbled up with our basemaps, and the result is that every day the order of basemaps in the basemap gallery of map viewer and applications is different and seemingly random.

ah, that's good to know. Nice detective work! I always just right-click and send to compressed folder on my windows machine and that works.

Did you zip your shapefile? Don't forget a "shapefile" is actually 3 or more files with the same file name but different extensions. It is usually 5 files, that's why it has to be zipped. You can't just upload a .SHP file.

It does appear that when you change the style using the visualize tab that the symbology information is saved at the item level, not the service level. If this is just an occasional need, one work-around is to set your symbology there, then export the item to a FGDB. Once that new FGDB item is created, hit the "Publish" button and it will publish a new service with the new symbology set at the service level. then you can delete the first service that you originally created.

As it says in the screenshot, if you upload a .zip of a shapefile and don't choose the convert option, you can go to that item later and hit the "Publish" button and it will convert it to hosted feature layer.

Layer files and packages can be uploaded, but they are not data sources that can be directly used by the AGOL platform. A layer file doesn't even contain data. They are just considered documents to AGOL, like a PDF, which can be downloaded. Shapefiles, though, are data and can be uploaded but they need to be converted into a hosted feature layer before they can be used in a map or app. If you upload a .zip of a shapefile, making certain it contains all the files that are part of it, be sure to select the option to convert it to a hosted feature layer. If you don't then the zip file is just a document that can be downloaded.

According to the documentation, the Reservation layer should be hosted in its own WFL, not the one with Space Planner layers. Should the AreaRoles table be in the same WFL as the Reservation layer or Space Planner layers? Or on its own? What needs to be done on the Indoor Viewer side of the configuration?
