Did you leverage shape overrides for your move operations? As for annotation editing tools, more capabilities are coming in the 2.1 release. We have additional tools that will be coming in later releases as well. What graticule functionality is missing for you?

Thank you for the feedback. We've heard this from others as well. We made the change in Pro because the legend classes in ArcMap can be misleading and do not reflect the true break edges. That said, I understand that there's a desire to see whole classes. We will look at rectifying both issues in a future release.

The Annotation model in ArcGIS Pro only supports TextGraphics at this time. That said, it's likely the image above could be constructed with a TextGraphic with a PointSymbolCallout providing the background. We're evaluating support for graphic types other than Text for the future, Craig

The annotation model in ArcGIS Pro is focused on providing an experience for text based annotation and does not support graphics at this time. Graphic support is something we will continue to evaluation. The representations experience in ArcGIS Pro has also evolved into an experience working with symbol overrides on any symbology type in ArcGIS Pro. More options for this will be available in the next release, ArcGIS Pro 2.1. For you particular case, we've found that a large number of organizations use derived data and edit the data to provide custom placement of symbols. From a workflow standpoint, this only differs from editing graphics in that you're editing features now instead. When combined with symbol override capabilities, this can be quite powerful. See this topic for more information on attribute driven symbology: Attribute-driven symbology—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop

Annotation in ArcGIS Pro only supports Text Graphics and the current released version doesn't have SDK abilities to update annotation. Annotation SDK support is coming at the 2.1 release.

Updating the ElevationSources of a map requires updating the MapDefinition. The basic approach is: Call GetDefinition (to get the CIMMap definition) Work through the array of ElevationSources to either update an existing source of add a new source. You'll need a CIMDataConnection for the data source path. Call SetDefintion to push the changed back into the map. Craig

Graeme, Project opening performance has been a major focus for us in ArcGIS Pro 2.0.0 development. We've optimized opening performance of individual maps and also performance of larger projects containing multiple maps, layouts, etc. We hope you see the benefits of this work once 2.0.0 is released. You should not need to reset them if each label class has a scale range setup that's appropriate for the scales being mapped. The label class for the 11x17 should draw at 1:3000 and the other should draw at 1:6,300 and the drawing will just flip to the correct one based on scale.

When designing ArcGIS Pro we took a look at layer properties, which tabs were used the most, and which tabs were used for iterative workflows. Iterative workflows for layer symbology are quite common where a change is made, the change is viewed on the map, and then the change may reverted or further modified. Doing this style of change in a modal dialog like layer properties is awkward. Therefore, we made the decision to split it out into a pane. We did the same for labeling properties. Labeling properties could actually be set in two places in ArcMap 1) layer properties and 2) the label manager. There's just one pane for this in Pro. Many ArcMap users will double click to open layer properties by "muscle memory." Over time, the new approach becomes more instinctive. Also note that with a ribbon based application, the ribbon is the primary entry point for user experience. Context menus are there for convenience, but the ribbon is the primary spot. Symbology pane launching can be done from the ribbon.
