Hi, So this is the first time I am seeing this type of error. When opening a geoprocessing tool sometimes I click by accident the description below the tool (see red arrow in the pic) and the item description window opens as usual. Then, when I click the name of the geoprocessing tool to open it (any GP tool), I get the following error (see picture below). ArcMap stops working and closes itself. Any ideas why this is happening? I already tried to re-install the software and it didnt resolve the issue. I have arcgis for desktop advanced 10.3. Also when I try to check the availability folder in the ArcGIS Administrator window, it stops working as well. thanks for your time and help.

if you want to use your 3D layers in a web application, I think you have to publish your 3D layer as a scene service. Also you will need the following components: ArcGIS for Server Portal for ArcGIS ArcGIS Data Store ArcGIS Pro (1.1 and later) Here is some info, I hope this helps. Hi again, So I created a new geodatabase instead of using the RangeDomeAnalysis.gdb. Then before running the model, I made sure the output path is set to the new gdb I created. I run the model and it worked. I still dont get how in the video the air corridor has different elevation values (it goes up) (top image), while mine has the same height all the time (bottom image). It stays at the same altitude...maybe there is something else I need to do, or thats not how flight corridors work

Hi Bob, Thanks for your suggestion. I tried to change the properties of the gdb, but after I do, I go back and open the geodatabase folder to see its properties, and the read only box is checked again. I also tried to run the analysis again and nothing happened. I am gonna try creating a new gdb and importing the data to the new one and see if it works.

Hello, Has anyone of you used the range dome analysis template? I am trying to understand and use this template. I followed the instructions given in the solutions website about setting up the template. However when I run the analysis I keep getting the ERROR 050005 (See below). I checked the modelbuilder to look for any broken connections, re-run the model again and got the same error. So then I editted the model and kept the section that was causing the error, which is one of the first steps in the model (see below). I run that small process and got the same error message. So if any of you have worked with this template and have been able to use it, I would appreciate your insights on this issue. thanks a lot, Gabriel

Hi, I was having issues with arcmap and opening mxd files. This is what I got. The mxd wasnt the problem because I was able to open on another machine. So I decided to update to 10.2.2. Tried to open the same file and no luck. Then I tried creating a new mxd file, and this time the add data button was grayed out. So I decided to repair the software and do the same operations again and it didnt work. Then I tried to uninstall 10.2.2 and reinstall it again. This time I got the following error. I havent seen this error before. Any thoughts about this issue? Thanks!!!

Hi Jayanta, thanks for your comments. We tried this option but it only worked for the icons and not for the toolbox, or the toolbar menu. I checked in the forums and this problem occurs with ultra/high HD screen resolution.

Thanks for your comments. He was using the recommended screen resolution, we tried different options but it didnt work. So we just restarted the computer again and that fixed the problem.

Hello, One of my friends just bought a laptop with the following characteristics: OS (Win 7 Pro 64 bits) 13.3" Quad-HD IPS Touchscreen Display (3200 x 1800). Intel Core i7-4510U 2 GHz. NVIDIA GT840M 2GB VRAM. 256GB Solid State Storage. 12GB RAM Dual-Band 802.11 A/C. 8-Hour Battery life. 3x USB 3.0, 1x HDMI, 1x miniDisplayPort, Bluetooth 4.0, SDXC slot He installed ArcGIS for desktop 10.3.1 trial and used an EVA license. The installation process was successful. When he tried to open ArcMap the menu and toolbar were really small, as shown in this picture. ArcScene and ArcCatalog dont have this issue at the same resolution (3200 x 1800 dpi). Other applications dont have this issue. Its only with arcmap. He deleted the normal mxt file, tried to repair the software, created a new windows user with admin privileges and nothing seems to solve this... Any thoughts on this?? thanks a lot

Yup, I did mention the number of licenses. Apparently, something when wrong during the authorization process and my licences were blocked. So I contacted my local distributor to help me out and I got my licenses back. I did the same process and it worked this time.
