Thanks for submitting the idea. We've been thinking about this one for a while, so am linking this to our backlog item for consideration in a near-future release. The focus will be on using clearly labeled items in the Contents pane for quick selections of entire classes of features, with the potential supported renderers including Unique Value, Class Breaks, Graduated Color, Graduated Symbols, and Single Symbol. -Nathan.

This tool is included in Pro 3.5! It has been added into the Exploratory 3D Analysis drop down gallery list on the Analysis ribbon tab for 3D views. 🙂 There will be more detail in the Help, but figured I'd mention that we took this opportunity to allow you to set the sampled resolution of the ground surface, as well as an optional Maximum Rise property, to help you get the steepest path result to get past small blockages in its path - example below (with the path able to get past an up-to-5m-rise). Run 1 - path goes 3km Run 2 - path goes 11km We also let you see the profile graph for the result, export the line to a feature, and so on. Hope this helps with your work! -Nathan.

Hi mwrona, There is public API for most of the animation creation and editing as well as playback and exporting. It could be used to make multiple animations on a single map, as well as on multiple maps. Below are some key parts for you to investigate, and a link to a sample / intro tutorial. https://developers.arcgis.com/documentation/arcgis-pro-sdk/tutorials/create-animation-keyframes/ Map.Animation // Provides access to the animation api for creation and editing animation. Map.Animation.CurrentAnimationName // Shows the name of the current animation and allows switching between the other animations on this map. Map.Animation.AnimationNames // Returns the names of all existing animations on this map. Map.Animation.Tracks[0].AnimationName // Get or update the animation name. Map.Animation.Tracks // Holds the following types of tracks in this order, which you would need to cast to for creating keyframes. CameraTrack, LayerTrack, TimeTrack, RangeTrack CreateKeyframe // Only available after casting the track to the appropriate type. Can create a new keyframe or override an existing one. DeleteKeyframe // Available for any track. // Individual Keyframes can be edited as well, but would need cast for the type specific properties. Hi JohnEsch2, For these kinds of cases, we recommend using the Range Slider (instead of the Time Slider). Hi qdras, All your animations (one or more) are saved with the map/scene, and you can choose to have "none active" to get back to a "doing other regular work" state for the app. Choose "None" from the list on the Animation ribbon. Hope this helps! Thanks, -Nathan.

Hi Mani, Unfortunately we don't have any plans for supporting the use of the interactive / dynamic flood simulation capabilities in ArcGIS Pro through a web front-end UX at the moment. The tool requires a 3D view (in Pro) as a starting point for providing the analysis surface, and then the math is run in the GPU for the application. Currently the web part of the dynamic flood sim story is purely for the consumption of the output data (TIF or CRF) in web maps and web scenes, rather than the ability to configure and run a scenario in a GP-service based way. Hi nicjay, Not specifically... The easiest way to do that would be to add a field to the earthquakes layer, calculate it with the numerical event order of the features (eg: earthquake order), and use labels on the point feature to not only show the magnitude of the quake, but also its number in the sequence. The down side is that the counter will move to be with each feature's location around the map (rather than in one spot). You could get a little fancy and have a set of point features on the same location (with time stamps to match the time-aware data), and then the point-and--order-number-label would show in one place. Might look OK if the map extent isn't changing. An even more complex way to go would be to use dynamic text overlays. Below is an attempt to give you the general approach to this idea, but it is tricky (given you want to animate through time, but show number values using an order-by value). Continue at your own risk. 😉 Idea - We have dynamic overlay text for the camera location, for map time, and for map range. Overlay text will draw on top of the screen (rather than as a feature label in the map itself) when exporting the animation. For numeric data, "range" is the better way to go - you enable it on a layer using the same "event order" field value as suggested for labels above. It can then be referenced as a filter for interactive use (eg: show me the 20th-30th earthquakes), and also for dynamic text in an animation. (For the earthquakes example, I presume you have authored a time-aware animation, where the keyframes have the changing time). When you set a range value on a keyframe (eg: "1" on the first keyframe and "50" on the keyframe showing the 50th earthquake), we can display those values in the animation. Important note - the dynamic range value shown will be a linear progression between keyframes and might not align exactly with the time-based filter - that is, the 10th earthquake is unlikely to occur exactly half way between the 1st and 20th. You'd need to add more keyfames (with the applicable range value) to get them to align better. Summary - Not directly supported... Sneaky trick one (easy) = use feature labels Sneaky trick two (medium) = use feature labels on a new layer Sneaky trick three (hard) = careful use of 'range' into the animation + overlay text Thanks, -Nathan.

Hi Rahul, Flood Simulation is similar to the rest of ArcGIS Pro in that it can run on minimum specs, works better on recommended specs, and best when on optimal specs (or higher). It is a little unique in that the flood simulation is invoked from within a displayed 3D view, and the calculations are designed to run on a graphics card GPU, so performance differences will be more noticeable as (for example) you increase RAM and have access to a higher quality graphics card. Your choice of setup (aka "cost") will need to factor in questions like "how much simulation will you do, and how many people are doing it?" After (ahem) a bit of a delay, we are looking at making a set of improvements to the way we handle level of detail (LOD) changes for the elevation surface and the draped 2D layers on top of it for the special case of animations exported from ArcGIS Pro. The goal is to pre-run the camera flight path and optimize (and minimize) the number of LOD changes made as we export the video. Thanks kntr! In the short term we're looking to add in a new element for Water Sink Areas, where water can be removed from the area-of-interest at a given rate. This is for use-cases where storm water systems (or pumps) are removing water from a location inside the area-of-interest (at a given maximum flow rate) and we need to model if that area will still get inundated from the other water inside the AOI. Once we've added "sinks", modeling water moving from one location to another (within the same AOI and same scenario) could potentially be done with a manual combination of water sinks and water sources. That is, set the timing of a water source in the AOI so it starts pushing out water at an increasing rate some-number-of-minutes into the scenario. It’s rudimentary and approximated but the water would effectively “move”. Providing a way to connect the flow between the two elements (in the same simulation) is something we’d need to look at for a future release. Thank you for the input! -Nathan.
