I have set data with a Date/Time field to use our local time zone when published from Pro to AGOL for use in Field Maps.
This timezone matches my computer when I view the data in a FGDB extracted from AGOL once a field job is completed.
Why on earth is the data in the FGDB showing in UTC when at no point in the chain had I used UTC?
(Rhetorical question - I know why, hence this Idea)
Please provide a way to work in local time or a set time zone in Pro (incl AGOL data shown in Pro) and have ALL data show in local time no matter what method used to interact with the data (popup, attribute table, ouji board).
Brownie points for clearly indicating when a displayed field is in UTC vs Local Time/a set timezone.
Having to constantly check times and dates against other sources of info to make sure the correct version is extracted is time consuming and inefficient. Nothing can be assumed as sometimes environmental observations are done at night or early in the morning so travel logs etc are needed to validate dates.
Just give us a button to set a timezone and then honour it everywhere.
Thanks for submitting this Idea!
Good news - it is in our Product Plan for Pro and we're working to get this done in the next 1-2 releases. You will have the option to use the Map's time zone applied as the display time zone for all time-aware content in the map. There are a lot of places where Time Zone display needs to be honored (eg: tables, labels, attribute editor pane, etc) so we need to look after all those.
Thanks!

Good news - we shipped this with ArcGIS Pro 3.6.
