There seems to be a bit of confusion here with the API Reference. This might be referring to graphic elements that come from non-editable FeatureServices. Are you adding your own custom graphic elements with attributes and symbols to a normal GraphicsLayer? If so, these graphic elements are mutable, and your attributes are mutable. There should not be any problems here. The way your described what you want to do sounds like it will work fine.

Question: How did you create your .gpk? I assume you shared your GP result from Desktop. If so, on the Geoprocessing Package dialog, did you make sure that the Support ArcGIS Runtime option was checked?

In order to download the 10.2 API you will need to register for a developers account. I'll let Eric clarify the EDN position. Mark Mark is correct. To add, regarding EDN subscribers, they will also be re-directed to the developers.arcgis.com pages and will need to acquire a free developer subscription to access all of the SDKs. I hope this helps!

Right, it would be useful to be able to render just the extents/footprints of the rasters in a mosaic. At this time there isn't a way to do this in the Runtime API, unfortunately. The comment about rendering vectors in the raster sample must be a copy/paste error. We apologize for the confusion here. Thank you for pointing this out!

I am running RHEL 6.4. I am not sure what LTS is exactly; Google says something about Long Term Support. It is registered with RHEL Network and has all RHEL updates, if that is what you mean. I even did a 100% fresh install to ensure I hadn't messed anything up (installing nvidia drivers had previously messed up OpenGL); results did not vary. Yes, thank you. That was exactly what I was asking. As long as you are using a Long Term Supported version of RHEL you should be fine. It's the mesa driver I'm wondering about.

Hello! I believe there may be a different forum more appropriate to handle your question. However, if you could explain a bit more about what you are trying to do overall, we might be able to help. Are you attempting to develop something with the ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Java? Thanks!

Hey there: Thanks for your request! Our Qt SDK is not built for ARM processors yet (at this time), but we do have other requests for this, and we do understand why the questions are coming in. Stay tuned in later releases for more information about this.

Ok, I see. After further research on this, it is not something that you can do with the Android API like you can with iOS. The team is researching and considering the extensibility points of the API for future releases to support the use case you've shown with iOS. Thanks for sharing this, and for your patience!

hi how to Deploy my application created by arcgis runtime Qt sdk in android device ? Very good question! The Qt SDK from Esri is used for developing applications targeted at Windows and Linux desktop and laptop devices only. Your question does make sense, of course. We are investigating this deployment option, but nothing is specifically planned. Today, for Android app development, Esri offers a terrific ArcGIS SDK for Android product. You can download it today and check it out.

Yes, the system requirements may be slightly confusing with respect to the 64-bit thing. ArcObjects can run on a 64-bit machine, but ONLY as a 32-bit application. ArcObjects cannot be loaded into a 64-bit Java process. Therefore, on a 64-bit machine, you will need to use 32-bit JDK/JVM for developing and running your ArcObjects Java-based applications. The ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Java SE, which is what this forum is about, CAN run in pure 64-bit Java, and your applications built with this SDK CAN run as native 64-bit applications (or 32-bit if you want), because the libraries are not based on ArcObjects. The ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Java SE is a completely different SDK product and toolset, a different technology, than the ArcObjects SDK for Java. Does this help? I can understand the confusion, but I do hope this helps.

Yes, you guys have correctly assessed the situation. The 10.1.1 SDK model for editing geodatabases utilizes Feature Services for maintaining geometry and attributes for simple features only. Direct reading of datasources using WorkspaceInfo is very basic, and read-only at this time. Not many folks are trying to use dynamic layers like this. The API doesn't really support it. In short, the API will continue to be improved to better support direct reading/querying of "ad-hoc" datasources that are added to the Map, free from the map package requirement, but this will still not be there for 10.2. It is on the radar for a future release, but very important for us to get done. John, I would not say that your use case and current implementation is "fringe" at all, by any stretch. There are many requests for this kind of direct editing and access to GDB feature classes, and there are many current Engine apps all over the world doing this, as Esri has trained Engine/ArcObjects developers to do this. The Runtime SDKs and their editing frameworks are designed more for a simpler/streamlined editing model and experience, one that is not so granular, which eases things a lot, but does make migration from ArcObjects to Runtime sometimes difficult. Marco, your comments are excellent. As you've stated, many more options are on the horizon.
