I assume you are using a third party lib, so you can just load the lib by using a CDN URL like https://abc.com/...., or you can download the lib and put it in the app and load it by using “lib/abc.js”. In the beta release, you need to add a map widget, which creates a map view data source. In your own coordinate widget, you can add the map view data source into the "useDataSource" array. (In beta, the ability to select map view data source is hidden, so you need to edit the config). From the map view data source, you can get the map view object. The httpProxy is used only if the request is sent by esri/request, but the URL in popup is not sent by esri request, so it does not go over the proxy. So you'd better make your URL trusted by browser. ... View more

You can do this by creating a custom widget. In this widget's setting page, you can config the map that you want to show side with the main map. In the widget, you can access the main map and the map configured for this widget, so you can sync the state of the 2 maps, like sync extent. For the side by side view, you can use the dashboard theme to create a layout and then add the widget to show side with the map. ... View more
