Hi Tami, The Migrate Relationship Class geoprocessing tool doesn't support versioned data at the 10.2.1 release, so perhaps that's why it isn't working for you, if you are migrating data within versioned datasets. I'm not sure why a better error message isn't being returned for you. The tool should have told you that versioned data is not supported when you drag and drop the versioned relationship class into the input parameter. The tool has been upgraded at the 10.3 release to support migrating objectid-based relationship classes with versioned data. This functionality should also be included in the next 10.2.1 Utilities and Telecom Update Patch, coming in the near future. Thanks, Jill

Hi, This warning may be returned when the topology that is passed into the tool has already been validated. Try a quick test in ArcCatalog to see if the topology has already been validated, by right clicking on the topology and select validate. If the topology has already been validated, a message will pop up telling you that the topology has already been validated. You could also right click the topology in ArcCatalog and select Properties where you can view the status on the General tab (validated or not). Hope this helps.

Brett, You may have been on one of the other threads where I posted this response, but incase you missed it, this functionality will be included in the 10.2.1 release via arcpy.Describe(<relclass>).OriginClassKeys and arcpy.Describe(<relclass>).DestinationClassKeys. Jill

At 10.2.1 release, it will be possible to obtain the origin and destination class keys via python using the Describe function. You can use: arcpy.Describe(<relationshipclass>).OriginClassKeys or
arcpy.Describe(<relationshipclass>).DestinationClassKeys The result returned will look something like this: [(u'OBJECTID', u'OriginPrimary', u''), (u'ParcelID', u'OriginForeign', u'')]
[(u'id', u'DestinationPrimary', u''), (u'RenterID', u'DestinationForeign', u'')] Hope this helps!

Have you tried using the "Make Query Layer" tool if you're using an enterprise database? http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#//001700000174000000 Or File>Add Data>Add Query Layer workflow works as well. http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#//00s500000027000000 I was able to join two tables using a where clause and publish along with a feature class. When I query the table in REST, it has maintained the join. Hope this helps, Jill

This is another simple way to find rows with Null values. You may want to make it more sophisticated by specifying the fields you want returned rather then using (*). Or add some of the functionality from the previous suggestions, depending on how much detail you need returned. # Import the arcpy module
import arcpy
# Location of the feature class I want to update
gdb = "C:\\Data\\NothingSpecial.gdb\\"
fcs = ["calc","table1","etc"]
for item in fcs:
fc = gdb + item
# Create a cursor using arcpy data access module
sc = arcpy.da.SearchCursor(fc, "*")
print "Null values in feature class: "+fc.rsplit("\\",1)[1]
print "==================================================="
for row in sc:
if None in row:
print ("Null value in row {0}".format(row[0]))

Hi Immanuel, Have you tried using an update cursor in python? You can write a simple script to update the column you want calculated. For example, I have a feature class with columns f1, f2, f3, and calc. F1, f2, and f3 have a mix of numbers and null values, and calc is the column that I want updated with the calculation of f1 + f2 +f3. Here is my simple python script to update these answers and skip null values. Note that the only value that gets changed is the "calc" value, and print statements are just used as reference. # Import the arcpy module
import arcpy
# Location of the feature class I want to update
fc = "C:\\Data\\NothingSpecial.gdb\\calc"
# Create a cursor using arcpy data access module
cursor = arcpy.da.UpdateCursor(fc,"*")
# For each row in the feature class:
for row in cursor:
print "For row: "+str(row)
# row[2] is the idex position of the f1 column
if row[2] <> None:
x = row[2]
print "x = %d" %(x)
# row[3] is the idex position of the f2 column
if row[3] <> None:
y = row[3]
print "y = %d" %(y)
# row[4] is the idex position of the f3 column
if row[4] <> None:
z = row[4]
print "z = %d" %(z)
# Now use these values to calculate the "calc" column
if x:
calc = x
print "calc = %d" %(x)
if y:
calc = calc + y
print "calc + y = %d" %(calc)
if z:
calc = calc + z
print "calc + z = %d" %(calc)
# Set the calc column (row[5]) as the calculated value
row[5] = calc
# Update the row with the new value for "calc"
cursor.updateRow(row)
# Set all values back to 0 for the next row
x=y=z=calc=0 Here's a link for more information on using Update Cursors: http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#//018w00000014000000

Okay, perhaps you can try stopping your service, adding global ids to the feature class, and restarting the service. Also, make sure your geodatabase is upgraded to the current release you are using. If you are just looking to edit, have you tried using the Flex viewer? http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/flex-viewer/concepts/index.html#//01m300000015000000
