Hi Paul, Are you able to hit the save button and the changes don't save or is there no save button (this looks to be the case from the screenshot). If the save button isn't appearing, check you permissions to ensure that you can create and save content. Also check to ensure that you aren't building in a map that has disabled the ability to save. If you are able to hit the save button, use some web traffic monitoring tools like fiddler or developer tools in the browser (f12). look for the add item call and let us know if there is an error message in the response. Hi Ben, Does the symbology ever update in the embeded web map? This sounds more like an issue with how the particular map is set up than a browser cache issue. How did you add the layer to the web map and how are they symbolized? There are several places in which you can change the symbology of a layer, so understanding how the web map was made may help. Check out my response in this post Dataset Not updating Schema in Collector​, it outlines some tools to look at the underlying map json to see how it is referencing the layer. Hi Cara, What type of authentication is your App using? Oauth or generating a token? Usernames are not case sensitive when using Oauth, but are when generating a token or submitting username and password directly to the Rest API. I would suggest checking the case of your username in ArcGIS Online, by clicking on your name in the top screen. Hi, There is no way to automatically update the token with the current tools in ArcGIS Online, but you could look into customizing a process using a token generated using the Rest API.
