My team will often fly very large areas (400 acres) of our properties, which output very large orthos (several gigabytes) to go with our contours for working on them in IntelliCAD. Working with images of this size slows the software down quite a bit and my team has been asking to be able to draw a polygon and have it crop the export to that area.
Is this possible? We would be fine even if there was additional processing time before that export was available for download.
We have the same challenge, but we want to export the results in ArcGIS. Any suggested workflow available?
@ChrisWiegand @sbouvier I can sympathize with the challenge of dealing with unnecessarily large datasets. A current workaround would be to use raster cropping tools in either ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Pro. You can choose to publish your ortho to ArcGIS Online/Enterprise, or export your ortho and load it into Pro. With either method you will have the option to crop/clip the ortho to reduce its size.
