Labelling in WebScene not available

Does anyone know the rules as to when the labelling option appears for a hosted feature service in ArcGIS OnLine? I have two feature services as line geometry, almost exactly the same except for some attributes and one allows me to switch on labels in the WebScene and the other has no labelling options at all.

Both services have the labelling config save to them from a Webmap.  These are 3D Paths. Am sure its just me missing something basic!

Thank you for reaching out. Could you provide more information (e.g. a test scene with both layers, the webmap with both layers, and/or a screen recording)? Understanding your specific case helps us to reproduce and assess.
